It is Friday. I’ve managed to complete most everything on my to-do list this week, leaving (intentionally) a few minor items for next week – in an effort to lessen the anxiety I feel when I think I must do more and then some more. One of those things was that I finished watching Amazon Prime– Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season two – and I have to say, the show thus far is fascinating in every sense of the word – from entertainment, content, decor and naturally the fashion – best yet since Mad Men. While on a ten-hour flight to and from England last month, I had ample time to see eight films on the plane. Some were repeat, but overall I felt I had a selection of films worthy of mentioning here. Treat yourself, at the very least, the off seasons to a few nights stay in this fascinating property, to achieve the level of pampering you are worthy off – I usually tell family and friends who plan their first trip to Paris. But then again, repeat travelers are also welcome :).
Millennial and the color pink go hand in hand according to everyone – but I have to admit that I have always appreciated the color in the classic, pastel shade or those bearing a rosy hue, or a soft peach blend. Pink is classic, timeless, and women of all ages should own at least one thing pink-ish. If not in decor, or fashion (clothing) then for sure lipstick. Like this shade Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast at Tiffany, which is still available here or this shade of pink, Penelope Cruz wore in a Lancome ad years ago, and one I wear to this day. As I stated earlier this week, we are coming to the best travel months of any year – you know, past the summer rush with college students and lots of families and group travelers crowding every city or town, most anywhere in the world. Driving the prices for accommodations to high season rates, and the locals to grow inpatient with all the chaos. I do my best to stay away the summer months and plan my trips in early Spring or Fall. I sometimes wish I could get a visual on the inside of my brain – you know kind of see how in the world I manage to compartmentalize all the SCHTUFF. You know, from every day life to what is going on worldwide and then the topics I wish I could comment on but would rather just keep my opinion to my self – just to avoid a backlash. Isn’t that silly. The fear that in the country where we are encouraged to speak our minds, I am more inclined to keep my ‘political’ opinions to myself then shed a certain light on the less informed or the ignorant. So, I chug along and instead focus on the fun topics, even while inside of my mind I am brewing with all sorts of opinions. So, here’s to a handful of topics that are fun – and light and hopefully will calm all those stressed out or anxious over real or fake news streaming across the society control panel, I mean the internet.
