Fashion: A Little French Boutique Store Called Sézane

I walked past the pop-up in San Francisco- Maiden Lane, when my thoughts were elsewhere and it wasn’t until I got home that I realized the opportunity I missed to walk into a Sézane store  in my hometown, that would have taken me away to somewhere in Paris and perhaps do a little shopping for these chic pieces:

Fashion: Weekend Outfits

On the weekends, I usually dress for a proper workout, go to the gym, then head out for errands, or go for a walk across the city, then have lunch somewhere in the Marina and take Muni back home. Although this quick and simple weekend wardrobe is no brainer, sometimes it would be nice to simply dress up – like these favorite picks of mine:

shoes: sale at nordstrom my picks

Working in the city, we are no longer required to dress up. Let me rephrase, maybe dress up  just in retail and some banks. I laugh. Only because a decade ago everyone was required to look corporate. Lots has changed, and I am okay with it. Love coming to work dressed in jeans if I want to or dress up if I choose to.  So, shoes play a part in the look, as we know it, and most of the time I prefer to be comfortable  to walk everywhere for lunch, to climb hills, and hop on and off busses and trains, running to them on occasion. Anyway, long story short, I walked into Nordstrom to simply order my favorite pomegranate ice tea, and ended up walking out with a few pairs of shoes. Ehmm. Oh well. fashion: mid-summer shopping

I don’t usually go shopping in the summer months, but the way the weather has been in the city, of course I’m drawn indoors, unwillingly walking through the mall just to be out. Of course, Nordstrom is having their half-yearly sale I discovered, making my roaming the malls very pleasant. Here’s my latest finds: From top left to bottom right: Kate Spade dress USD595, Maggie London Jersey dress USD98, Deborah Lippman nail color USD18, Print midi-shirt in mint USD36, Roalnd ankle bottie USD187, Xenia pointy-toe pump USD79. Burberry quilted jacket USD595

getting ready for a trip and what to wear

Normally I travel in the warmer months, sort of intentionally so I don’t have to pack sweaters, boots and coats in my carry on. But, this year, even my trips abroad is  turned around and I’m leaving much sooner than I planned, clocking my arrival across the pond, in the winter/not really spring season. So, packing is a challenge of course since I need to figure out how to dress warm and comfy, without hauling too much.  Of course, these outfits are a must: {photos and credit, click here}

fashion: free people and the woman over 40

There are fashion trends and wardrobe suggestions, which I, being a woman over 40, wish I could wear and while I second guess myself about whether the pieces are age appropriate, I do, on occasion, give into the temptation. I mean why not, if it looks good, wear it.  Here’s my latest loves from Free People and yes ladies, they are age appropriate:   FP High Rise Skinny,  Quilted Leather Jacket, Tristo Leather Tote,  Solitaire Heel, We The Free Ragtime Raglan-top

new year’s eve 2012 comfortable fashion ensemble

Two things dictated how I wanted to dress for New Year’s Eve this year. Top priority was comfort and the second,  dressy but casual. So I opted for pants, then a simple sequined top, followed by strappy shoes which would give me enough support to last throughout the night and a simple pair of earings to  accessorize. As for the coat, I love fur, faux that is and since this year faux fur is in, I decided to incorporated it into my ensemble from here. 1. DKNYC Sequin Pullover Sweater 69USD 2. Sondra Roberts Clutch – Woven Satin and grosgrain box 125USD 3. Elie Tahari Tara Faux Fur Jacket 221USD 4. Judith Jack Sterling Silver Crystal Earings 75USD 5. Theory Pants Belisa Mandatory Slim 235USD 6. Vince Camuto Strappy evening booties 129USD

a pair of jeans and a closet full of designer shoes

There is something to be said about a great fitting  pair of jeans, a gray t-shirt and a pair of the sexiest designer shoes.  It’s funny how far accessorizing a simple pair of blue jeans has come,  and because of that I have included my favorite selection of designer shoes to compliment my collection of jeans.  Well, of course I had to throw in my favorite bag  as well 🙂 which I plan to duplicate. 1. 7 for all mankind midrise bootcut USD160 2. James Perse drapped neck cotton jersey USD95 3. Current/Elliot roller low rise bf fit jeans USD195 4. Black Joffe faux nappa boot USD1095 5. Valentino Studded Suede ankle boots USD995 6.
