Decor: If You Happen to Be In Paris

If you appreciate beautiful Parisian decor, from Baroque consoles to gilded wood Louis XVI style beds, and you happen to be in Paris this week, there is an auction happening  at the Ritz Paris for over 3500 pre-renovation items you might, if for nothing else, find yourself swooning over.

Is It Bad To Compare Amal Clooney to Jackie Onassis – in fashion that is

I don’t know about you but the first glimpse of George Clooney’s then girlfriend, Amal, and all I could think about was how much she resembled Jackie Onassis.  A modern day version of course.   Same sort of flair I think, and I am seeing more and more each day why George has fallen in love with this mediterranean beauty and brains. Lucky for some of us,  Bazaar has posted some of Amal’s most stylish looks, which naturally I love. Take a look and let me know what you think?

paris and more paris via instagram

Yes, it is that time of year where I do nothing but dream of Paris in all its glory and even not the very perfect, I learned from speaking with locals. But it matters not, a girl can dream, especially one who lives so far away from this magical city. Here are some of my favorite spots perfectly photographed and uploaded via Instagram here:

For example: I have used just about every makeup out there and tend to change the brand only when I sense the ingredients, which have been changed to “new and improved”, are no longer working for my face. As for hair products, I have also tried just about every shampoo and hair color out there based on of course what my hair needs are during different seasons throughout the year, as well as the quality my hair has become over the years. One thing, I have found, so far is, although I veer on occasion to try something different, …

defining your look: for the woman over forty

Since I am one who commutes to work every day on the San Francisco Muni, I often look around the train to get a feel for how women dress while going to work. Although, in this part of the continent, we have traded in the suits for a “tasteful” semi-casual look, often times women over 40 tend to dress inappropriately even from the fashion point of view. What would you consider your look and tell me why?
