So you’ve planned dinner for Valentine’s day but have no idea where to turn for desserts, and sure you’ve considered a ready made alternative, or perhaps discussed a personalized sweets of sorts. In line with this week’s theme – oh you know – Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share the most romantic places to visit in the U.S. – although these places are something to experience whenever you embark on a romantic long-weekend getaway (for the locals) or for those coming from abroad, and want a bit of adventure. Here’s my picks and for the rest you can go here: {Inspiration or source for this topic}
I am all for throwing a party for singles on V(G)alentine’s Day. I mean who says February 14 is only for those in love, or otherwise in a relationship, to plan a special date night? I say, text or call, or text (who makes phone calls anymore) and invite a few friends over for B.Y.O.Aappetizers, putting much emphasis on the importance of desserts and champagne while watching a few classic films from this list – and in case you don’t know where to start… {source here, and here}
I saw this recipe a few weeks ago, and already knew the plans for Valentine’s Day or actually any other Sunday. I mean, this option is not only for those in love, but rather for anyone celebrating – their independence, to a perfect friendship and even a newly purchased home. Double chocolate champagne pancakes is the way to go, I say: Ingredients: 1 cup AP flour 1¾ tsp baking powder 1/3 cup sugar 4 tsp cocoa powder, sifted 1 tsp salt 2 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/4 cup milk 1 large egg 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp champagne. {more} {recipe and photo credit} Oh and yes for the mimosa champagne in lieu of coffee or a cup of green tea – plus more pink drinks here

Just like most women, I love getting dressed up and going out for dinner, but not really on Valentine’s Day. My favorite way to celebrate the occasion is to stay home and cook, believe it or not and rent a few mushy films and watch them while munching on popcorn and drinking champagne. Here are some of my favorite films for this year. They are mostly available through online rental or for a few bucks at a local megastore (i.e. Target)
Valentine’s Day, of course, is around the corner and here are some of my favorite fun or sexy dresses to wear from here for the occasion.
