Travel: Italian Beaches

Hello everyone! Hope your weekend was as good as it can be under the circumstances. I know I tried my best to stay on the upside, even while the downside was eating away at me. I walked across town on Saturday, and did much pondering and decision making over the current events shaping up or dismantling all that we have known and many things we never knew about but should. Sunday, I spent the day writing, and editing and figuring out all the wonderful topics and things I want to share this week with you all right here. Starting with this list of Italian beaches I want to experience, when travelling is safely altered to align with today’s environment. Until then, I’ll just be dreaming and adding to my travel bucket list. {featured images and source full credit}

Travel: European Beautiful Villages To Plan To See

Last night I had trouble sleeping, especially when my mind was racing over a health related conversations I had with my mother, among the many other day-to-day. So I tried to take off the edge by focusing on some of my travels through Europe and eventually fell asleep with thoughts of Salzburg, and the Sound of Music tour I took in early 90’s. A friend asked if we are allowed to travel later this year, would I consider it. And my answer was yes and this is  the first trip I’d put together – a glimpse of five small European villages.   Where would you go from this list of European Villages {featured images full credit and source}

Culture: Where Is Your Sense of Humor

Remaining positive is key to most any hardship we are faced with – says me ;).  You can choose to think otherwise, but the only thing that we can’t be stripped of is thinking positive. So, as I continue to effort staying and spreading positivity, I share with you a few illustrations from a very talented arts which are on point…for anyone who’s ever felt this way or  know those who do. {full illustration credit source} What are you doing to cope?

Theme for 2020 – Travel

There were no resolutions made on New Year’s eve, nor discussions about self improvement among the family members. No conversations about politics, or any issues outside of our simple existence – which was wonderful. Because the entire day felt surreal, and at midnight, we turned off all the lights, except the Christmas decoration lights, and watched the fireworks along the coast, from the comfort of our home. I couldn’t ask for a better way to welcome the New Year. I decided, just before turning in that 2020 would be the year of travel, and self reflection, and in line with that concept, I share with you my list from the ten places to travel in 2020. Just in case you are undecided, consider this month to month  2020 suggested travel destinations guide {Source here and here}

What Are You Reading Lately?

I strive to better myself in every way possible, but on occasion feel as though I am failing. This is a blessing and a curse – because I am very hard on myself and always push the envelope in achieving much more than expected, which is a curse. And yet, I feel my best when I am able to achieve the goals I have set for myself and flourish in the best way possible – blessing? Recently though I’ve been questioning every ounce of who I am, which I think most of us do, at the end to each year, and then assess what we need to work on. In my case, much more than I though of at first, and I am not talking about losing weight, or changing up my wardrobe, I am talking about inner self, personality, character, and everything else that define me as a being. It’s weird how that works – because without any prior research, I picked up two books which I am reading simultaneously solely based on the …

Fashion: A Little French Boutique Store Called Sézane

I walked past the pop-up in San Francisco- Maiden Lane, when my thoughts were elsewhere and it wasn’t until I got home that I realized the opportunity I missed to walk into a Sézane store  in my hometown, that would have taken me away to somewhere in Paris and perhaps do a little shopping for these chic pieces:

Lifestyle: Anthropologie Not So In Moderation

I walked into Anthropologie at the Stanford Shopping mall yesterday with my jaw dropped, and my eyes lit up at the sight of the most beautiful put together emporium of holiday-ish and other products ready for the best shopping season of the year. I wanted everything, and most of the displays managed to captivate and enchant me in ways I haven’t been strolling though an actual retail establishment. Good for them, I say for materializing a solid vision. So I dug deep to find out which umbrella of retail stores was this particular establishment and discovered the results here.  It’s an interesting read that I will leave you to consider. Otherwise please proceed to the fun stuff below. {featured image and inspiration for blog entry}

Boutique Hotel Pick – Lotte New York Palace – New York

I haven’t added some of my favorite boutique hotel recommendations for that special weekend or week long getaway until I spend a good amount of time laughing in the pool this past week with a funny couple who decided to get hitched as they called it, and blend their families together with six pre-teen kids.  They were celebrating their one year of bliss (can you see my jaw dropped or my eye twitching while trying to understand their definition of bliss?). They joked about kids, and exes, and the new blended family and I simple threw my head back and laughed while tears streamed down my face-that’s how funny they were about the whole thing. I suppose that in itself is a definition of bliss or love. All I can say is –  more power to them. So, in case you are aching for a weekend getaway where you want to feel regal in all sorts of pampering, then this beautiful hotel is just the right accommodation to set the mood or just help you …

Travel: Best Places to Go In October If You Have Photography In Mind

Took a 24 hour trip to Montana Friday to Saturday for business and although I was to arrive on Friday by noon – thinking I can have dinner with family, I ended up experiencing all the construction taking shape in various airports on the western side of this country, trying to get to my destination – since my original flight from San Francisco, with stopover in Seattle to Montana went south.  I barely had time to wind down a minute Friday night only to fly back early Saturday morning, – meaning I had to be at the airport by 5 – so you figure the numbers. 🙂 By the time I opened the front door to my peaceful abode, I felt as if I had missed out on so much – in just the twenty-four hours I was gone.  Do you ever feel that way? While walking a number of airports, with posters and signage pointing to travels  around the world, I couldn’t help but feel the need to travel in the best month of …
