What A Backyard Reno Should Feel Like

In light of the fact, we are all adapting to new ways of living, mostly outdoors, I have decided next spring to embark, well actually, hire someone to actually do the hard labor of renovating our backyard. Which hasn’t been touched since the house was built in the 1930s. Disclaimer: Most backyards, in homes in the sunset in San Francisco are hardly used since before COVID everyone would simply venture to the outdoors near and far in California. Sunday Hello

I decided before I dive into work this morning, that I’d play catch up here with all of you. Hello, how are you doing? Hope well enough considering this year and all of its very heightened, or highlighted challenges. But we are in middle of October, even though it feels as though we have no idea how we got here. But we did. There’s lots to talk about. There is exciting news about travel – in that some parts of the world are starting to open up – one in particular that grabbed my attention was Machu Picchu and the misinformation surrounding its closure during early COVID and now. The other misinformation naturally swirls around our country’s upcoming election and the bullying and manipulating from ALL parties on either side of the playground. Now although this sort of dirty play has been done decades before, none has stood out as much as this year’s election. That is because the masses are on lockdown, and have nowhere to go but their televisions sets to endure the …

Weeks Worth of Thoughts

I’ve been away as I mentioned a week or so back, because I’ve had to readjust my days in caring for my mother, who fell and broke her arm, then a few days later, fell again and broke or fractured another part of her arm. Mind you I am not stating my personal life here, for any sort of empathy, I am simply stating the fact, that is what has kept me away from all things I love, writing, photography, walking and even watching films. But, this morning, while my mother finally figured out a way to sleep peacefully, I decided to sit here, next to her of course, and catch up with all of you, who by the way keep my grounded. So here we go… My first thought is – what a twisted world we live in. And more specifically what a sad state America has turned into.
