Travel: Planning Where To Stay

Considering 2020 I’ve claimed as the year of travel – I’ve done much research on where I would stay during my travels. I’ve considered villas in Tuscany, Resorts along the Riviera, castles throughout U.K. and country estates in the French wine region. Now, I am adding this list of best European apartments to rent to my bucket list of places I would stay.

In England For A Couple of Weeks

Although in England for business for two weeks, I am also hoping to get a chance to play tourist in a country I consider my second home for so many reasons. But in case I don’t get a chance to see outside of a working environment, and report back on whatever discoveries I’ve made along the way, I promise I will stay in touch. My favorite reference this week  “you’re either in or you are out.” I wonder if I’ll have a chance to visit some of the best restaurants in London from this list Or a bar or two or three from the best bars in London 2020 U.K. best festivals for 2020 – I’ve emailed to family living in England, hoping to experience some of them Sustainable is the word for 2020 – and so are these shops in London to add to your list, in case you plan a trip out this way.   Finally, Love this article about – How to Sustainable Travel in 2020

Theme for 2020 – Travel

There were no resolutions made on New Year’s eve, nor discussions about self improvement among the family members. No conversations about politics, or any issues outside of our simple existence – which was wonderful. Because the entire day felt surreal, and at midnight, we turned off all the lights, except the Christmas decoration lights, and watched the fireworks along the coast, from the comfort of our home. I couldn’t ask for a better way to welcome the New Year. I decided, just before turning in that 2020 would be the year of travel, and self reflection, and in line with that concept, I share with you my list from the ten places to travel in 2020. Boutique Hotel Pick – Kimpton Charlotte Square – Edinburgh, Scotland

One of the favorite destinations from around the world is Scotland, and the inspiration for my third novel coming your way soon. And although there are many wonderful hotels throughout the country, one in particular I wanted to feature in RS&S since it meets all of my eclectic taste in accommodations.     {for a list of 20 small luxury hotels in Edinburgh- visit this site}

Saturday Interesting Distractions From The Internet

I always tell myself to take a break on the weekends from being on the computer – which I do for the most part. But sometimes I am too excited about sharing what I consider interesting distractions or good things to know about. So go grab that cup of coffee or tea and simply enjoy… {featured image source and inspiration}

Travel: Beautiful Small Towns in America

Since my quick and dirty trip to Montana, mostly landing in Idaho, Utah, before finally Great Falls, I got to see not only the beautiful scenery, but also get a glimpse  of small towns settled between the majestic mountains and winding rivers.  This is a trip I’ve been planning for years, to explore the U.S.  Except I don’t know which season is best – Spring or Fall, which I think I am leaning more towards. Driving from one state to the next, in sections. North, East, South, since I’ve seen the west, time and time again. With that plan in mind, I’ve tagged this list of 50 most beautiful small towns in the U.S. and figured you might want to see for yourself some of my favorites and perhaps plan a similar trip.

Travel: Best Places to Go In October If You Have Photography In Mind

Took a 24 hour trip to Montana Friday to Saturday for business and although I was to arrive on Friday by noon – thinking I can have dinner with family, I ended up experiencing all the construction taking shape in various airports on the western side of this country, trying to get to my destination – since my original flight from San Francisco, with stopover in Seattle to Montana went south.  I barely had time to wind down a minute Friday night only to fly back early Saturday morning, – meaning I had to be at the airport by 5 – so you figure the numbers. 🙂 By the time I opened the front door to my peaceful abode, I felt as if I had missed out on so much – in just the twenty-four hours I was gone.  Do you ever feel that way? While walking a number of airports, with posters and signage pointing to travels  around the world, I couldn’t help but feel the need to travel in the best month of …

We’ll Just Take It All In

Woke up this morning to pick up a package Amazon had left at my doorstep and noticed the flashing lights of a police cars a few houses down, and all of a sudden a flash light was pointed at my face-the officer asking me if the car parked out front which was hit was mine, to which I answered No and pointed out my car, parked behind the one hit.  He shone the light on my car and asked me to inspect the side facing the street with him. Apparently someone hit a row of cars half an hour earlier and the officer wanted to make sure my car wasn’t impacted.   You can imagine my stupor, followed by the need to walk down the street to see if my neighbors were okay. Then after all the conversations, I decided it was best I work from home and find  ways to self-distract before diving into a meeting call as if nothing had happened. Here’s What to focus on today – Enjoy the moments
