Boutique Hotel Pick – L’Hotel Particulier – Arles, France

Mondays are a great day to start with daydreaming – about places you wish you could go or ones you hope someone would whisk you away to – for a bit of rest and relaxation, and romance – kind of like this place in Arles, France. Details are everything

Travel: Is The Most Interesting Of Topics

At least to me. I decided to start the new year talking travel – my favorite subject and something I wish I can do the entire year.  So, without much delay, here are the top travel destinations for January – or February – if you decide you need a week or two off to recover from all the holiday stress, or planning a romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day or simply getting married and need a wintertime  honeymoon destination.

My Outlook For The New Year…

As we all know, today is the day, we reflect upon the ‘soon to be’ passing year, and determine how we wish to set the tone for the new year. As I type this, in some parts of the world, New Years is nearly 4 minutes away, while in my part, the day is just beginning. I find this transition the most fascinating part of our existence, that on the 31st of December  to the start of the New Year is experienced in many time zones across the globe. I don’t know about you, but on this day, I have the worst anxiety – dont’ you?  I guess since we are programmed to feel something for every major event in our lifetime,  on the 31st of December, it is anxiety – about leaving the year we’ve grown accustomed to – bad or good, and moving on, ready into the unknown in the coming year. When I was younger, I believed that the new year was responsible for bringing me the happiness I so deserved, and …

Sunday Read: Research Has It

I normally sleep with my window open. I’ve done it for years. The crisp air, sometimes chilly and other times just warm enough helps me get a good night sleep.  The only nights I struggle to get to sleep is if I’m in a place, a hotel or someone’s house, where I cannot open the window. Those are the nights, I toss and turn and count the hours until the morning. Do you sleep with the window opened?   While searching for a recipe, I came across this article – about the most popular recipe in every state (U.S) according to google. And when I clicked on it, I found some of the options very surprising – especially California – where I live. I would have guessed delicious guacamole dip or sushi – but never quinoa. Check out the rest of the list. Is it true for your state?     Being a San Franciscan – I have seen the city develop into an expensive metropolitan one and although I have been here all of my …

Travel: Luxury Airbnb Envy

I have yet to experience an Airbnb during my travels. Meaning to clarify, since my travel planning days, I opt for different hotels to spend my time, so that I can provide an honest review about accommodations to my former clients, and friends and family. But this list of luxury Airbnb options got me thinking about the milestone birthday celebration I am planning for myself in 2020. Naturally, there is a more budget-friend option out there as well to consider these vacation/holiday rentals.

My Mind Is All Over The Place

I sometimes wish I could get a visual on the inside of my brain – you know kind of see how in the world I manage to compartmentalize  all the SCHTUFF. You know, from every day life to what is going on worldwide and then the topics I wish I could comment on but would rather just keep my opinion to my self – just to avoid a backlash. Isn’t that silly. The fear that in the country where we are encouraged to speak our minds, I am more inclined to keep my ‘political’ opinions to myself then shed a certain light on the less informed or the ignorant. So, I chug along and instead focus on the fun topics, even while inside of my mind I am brewing with all sorts of opinions. So, here’s to a handful of topics that are fun – and light and hopefully will calm all those stressed out or anxious over real or fake news streaming across the society control panel, I mean the internet.

Around the World – In Soccer That Is

I feel as though the World Cup 2018 snuck up on me this year – I suppose since having been away for a few weeks, I think I’ve lost track of all sorts of events.  But nevertheless, I have established who I want to see win this year – but for the moment I will keep it to myself. So, I figured if you are a fan of soccer or the true football (outside the U.S) that you might enjoy these amazing shots of all things football:

Fashion: The Most Disturbing of Reads

Although I am currently in a different time zone, news travels at the same speed and today I am saddened to hear about a couple of my favorite designers – And the second disturbing read I found online – about Coco Chanel – Which I am having the most difficult time accepting it and even sharing it here. {featured image source}
