Happy New Year – 2020

The last few days of a year are always bittersweet for me, and the most nostalgic. I will even go as far as saying a bit overwhelming as I reflect upon all things which have shaped 2019, on a personal level as well as global. I cannot believe we are near completing a decade already in the 21st century, and although we are faced with many challenges, whether political, economic, environmental or religious, I think if we each do our part in spreading positivity, rather than the toxic, we can help reshape the world into a peaceful existence. So from me to all of you – have a happy new year! and may your resolutions hold true 😉    {photo source}

A Lazy Saturday Topics of Interest

This time of year, I prefer the indoors, spending most of my weekends in my pajamas craving hot chocolate, baked goods, and naps. Don’t misunderstand. I have a list of chores I need to tackle, but for some reason, the gloomy outdoors has me needing to find inspiration… {featured image source and inspiration for this topic}

Travel: Beautiful Small Towns in America

Since my quick and dirty trip to Montana, mostly landing in Idaho, Utah, before finally Great Falls, I got to see not only the beautiful scenery, but also get a glimpse  of small towns settled between the majestic mountains and winding rivers.  This is a trip I’ve been planning for years, to explore the U.S.  Except I don’t know which season is best – Spring or Fall, which I think I am leaning more towards. Driving from one state to the next, in sections. North, East, South, since I’ve seen the west, time and time again. With that plan in mind, I’ve tagged this list of 50 most beautiful small towns in the U.S. and figured you might want to see for yourself some of my favorites and perhaps plan a similar trip.

Travel: Best Places to Go In October If You Have Photography In Mind

Took a 24 hour trip to Montana Friday to Saturday for business and although I was to arrive on Friday by noon – thinking I can have dinner with family, I ended up experiencing all the construction taking shape in various airports on the western side of this country, trying to get to my destination – since my original flight from San Francisco, with stopover in Seattle to Montana went south.  I barely had time to wind down a minute Friday night only to fly back early Saturday morning, – meaning I had to be at the airport by 5 – so you figure the numbers. 🙂 By the time I opened the front door to my peaceful abode, I felt as if I had missed out on so much – in just the twenty-four hours I was gone.  Do you ever feel that way? While walking a number of airports, with posters and signage pointing to travels  around the world, I couldn’t help but feel the need to travel in the best month of …

We’ll Just Take It All In

Woke up this morning to pick up a package Amazon had left at my doorstep and noticed the flashing lights of a police cars a few houses down, and all of a sudden a flash light was pointed at my face-the officer asking me if the car parked out front which was hit was mine, to which I answered No and pointed out my car, parked behind the one hit.  He shone the light on my car and asked me to inspect the side facing the street with him. Apparently someone hit a row of cars half an hour earlier and the officer wanted to make sure my car wasn’t impacted.   You can imagine my stupor, followed by the need to walk down the street to see if my neighbors were okay. Then after all the conversations, I decided it was best I work from home and find  ways to self-distract before diving into a meeting call as if nothing had happened. Here’s What to focus on today – Enjoy the moments

Decor: Cabin In the Woods

I often speak of downsizing – which I’ve done and really will never go back to owning stuff and more stuff to fill a home. I prefer a small space, a loft or a studio filled with the simplest of decors and a handful of memorable collectables – that’s all I need to feel content. So, this site with a list of modern prefab cabins got me interested – as each one represents a piece of what I would incorporate if I were building my own cabin in the woods-which by the way is something I’ve discussed and considered over the past year or so:

Sunday Edition: Topics Of Interest From Around The World

I am finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, in terms of this bug/flu thing I managed to get caught up in this past week – the entire event being kicked off by a stiff neck,  followed by an achy body, fever, headache and a huge knot in my throat, or more like a piece of rock lodged in the worst possible way, causing all kinds of havoc on my body and soul. Since I am so aware of my health, I noticed this time around, I had the worst stomach pains also – which got me thinking perhaps this was a combo flu – or a virus that was thoughtful enough to attack all of my organs. Anyway, the way I know I am feeling better is that I wanted to actually get on my phone and dabble in paint-by-number app, and then one thing led to the next and here we are – with a list of interesting topics I want to share with all of you – cooped up …
