Travel: Exploring Paris Past The Eiffel Tower

There are many sides to Paris I adore and what I love most is discovering something new every time I go there – which is at least once a year. For example: {featured image is copyright rawsilkandsaffron and one I took on March 12, 2017 celebrating a friend’s birthday}

Saturday Morning Interesting Reads Online

I get up at 5:30  every morning, no matter the day. I love the quiet, and the peacefulness, because it helps me think best and plan out my day and even reshuffle my life goals.  Then, I do some of my best writing here, there, and even a chapter for my next novel. But what I love most about this time, is what I find interesting online to share with all of you:

Travel: All About The Canary Islands, Spain

Right about now, while freezing in San Francisco, I crave tropical. And naturally begin  my typical research for somewhere to escape. Recently, well, maybe a month or so ago, I saw a film   on Netflix that was not only entertaining and funny, but it was  filmed in the Canary Islands.  Somewhere I’d never been before. I love when a movie delights me – in terms of decor and location.  The last time I was this intrigued was when I saw ONLY YOU with Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr. which was filmed in when it was filmed all throughout Italy. Anyway, so because of the film, I did some digging for tourist information and without any more babbling, here are some facts – just in case you are looking for that perfect Honeymoon or anniversary celebration destination:   High Season (Dec–Apr & Jul–Aug) Coincides with Christmas, carnival season and Easter Accommodation prices are highest in January and February Mid-summer is holiday time on the Spanish mainland, so expect more tourists July and August are the …

Food: The Best Ideas For When You Crave

I’m always craving the weirdest things…wait…let me clarify. I crave things at the weirdest times of the day. For example, I sometimes want to it a insalata caprese in the morning, or crave dessert just before dinner, raw peanuts or almonds at midnight, and even Chinese food at 9:00 in the morning. So, to feed my cravings when they hit, I look for interesting variations on prepping the usual. Just thought I put that out there…nothing interesting. Just that it’s Friday and I’m itching to leave for my day-trip – see here: In the meantime, check these out:

What’s Happening This Weekend

August is pretty dreary in San Francisco. Meaning to say we hardly see sun and it drizzles enough to need an umbrella. Now, although there is OUTSIDE LANDS happening in Golden Gate Park (sorry tourists) about parking, restrictions, and crowded buses and pretty much chaos, I am aiming to experience the following: THURSDAY NIGHT: The pic speaks volumes – from 4-8p.m. I’ll be strolling down Polk Street in the city and maybe I’ll run into some of you in town or from this cool town. FRIDAY NIGHT: Sun, Fun, and a day-escape to Sonoma and/or to  Sebastopol SATURDAY: More search for sun, fun, and just taking it all in   SUNDAY: I am a firm believer you have to experience something at least once – and this sounds amazing – Seeing an outdoor theater version of the film SOUTH PACIFIC in Oakland under the stars: {photo I’ve taken from Sausalito on a typical San Francisco summer day}

Travel: Where To Go In September

I always plan my travels for September – because I feel it is a great month to experience the best of weather, the least of crowds, and the locals not as stressed with tourists as they are during the summer. With that said, here and here are two lists of some of the best places to travel in September: {featured image: Barcelona, Spain}
