Since I live by the coast, my decor choice is sort of beachy, with soft blues, whites and sand colored backdrops and bold, I would have to say, in pop of colors only throughout my bookshelf. I love the look and feel, and probably wouldn’t change a thing, or maybe add whites. {inspiration source}

The fog and nasty cold is back in the city (San Francisco), and the gray skies make it difficult to get up some mornings, and get on with the day. But, I am determined to stay positive by focusing on all things colorful and to some degree breathtaking. Won’t you come along?
Since the 4th of July holiday in the U.S. – this is by far the longest weekend since Thanksgiving. Meaning some companies in the U.S. were generous enough to offer up the day after the holidays as a holiday+ – extending to the weekend. Retail isn’t so lucky, or maybe they are, depending on how we look at it – this is going to be one of the biggest sales weekend and the deals are amazing, take a look here But as usual, those of us San Francisco locals who decided to spend the holiday at home, have the heater on, and covered in blankets know we won’t be getting a glimpse of the fireworks, thanks to the usual fog covering most of the bay. Not everyone celebrates July 4th – sometimes not even the Americans, so I figured I’d share topics for everyone who continues to join in on all the fun at Raw Silk and Saffron. But before I do, I have to say, I have no specific plans to partake in the holiday this year, but I am hopeful that at the very least the fog will stay at bay in San Francisco, just enough to enjoy the fireworks around the Golden Gate bridge which I am fortunate enough to see if I walk down a few blocks from my house. And maybe, I’ll grill a steak and have some corn on the cob and watermelon 🙂 – okay I’ll wear red-white-and-blue too. Anyway, lets proceed to the more interesting topics – speaking of grilled steak…
