My favorite, after spaghetti of course, is the combo – tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich and the recipe I found here for the soup is a nice touch – spicy – something I’ve never considered before. The rest of the suggestions are up to you. Here we go:
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups diced onion
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 4 (14.5 ounce) cans Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 quarts broth {more}


Definitely worth a try! A classic combo
