What Books To Read in 2017

Personally recommending books to read is difficult since everyone’s interests are different. But as you know there are a dozen lists out there of the best and most recommended reads for 2017, some of which I have dropped the front covers right here for your consideration: What have you read so far? And what do you recommend? Or what will you consider reading? Do tell

Decor: Thoughts to Consider For Your Upcoming Home Makeover

Last year around this time, I drove everyone crazy with the helpful hints I found online, in stores and from those dear to me regarding the makeover I was planning on for my San Francisco studio apartment I will most like never part with–yes I love it that much. It suits me perfect, as long as I can revamp it every few years. Anyway, just in case you happen to be contemplating a re-decor, revamps, makeover and all others terms describing a refreshed look, then you might find these topics helpful, or just ask me. 🙂 {featured image article is all about the paint, click here}

Food: Sweet Potato Nachos!

I’m on it! Since I have nachos practically once a week. I usually make my own version at home. You know, the typical ground beef or shredded chicken, black bean, Mexican cheese, yogurt instead of sour cream, diced tomatoes and green onions. We love it!  It’s easy, quick and a fun meal. Love the crunchy taste of the tortilla chips against all the mushiness on top. Better than pizza (wait) I have to think about that one. Anyway, somehow, someway this SWEET recipe popped up online the other day, making my mouth water, and my eyes light up with excitement, because I love a twist on anything traditional: This is worth an OMG!

Fashion: MM LeFleur – The Startup To Consider

Let’s face it. We all shop online, which is a good thing, considering all of our options are laid out for us to choose from or consider. I know I’ve gone into stores and either the don’t carry all their styles anymore or not the size I need. I am not a size 0 – thank you very much. So while I was considering expanding my blog to fashion my style, in terms of, photos of ME!!!!! Which I am still hyperventilating about. I hate to be photographed, especially when it’s a fashion pose. :). Anyway, I came across this start up and as we all know it, felt the need to share.  Honestly, I want to know what you think?  Is it something you would consider?

So Many Things Go Through My Mind On A Daily Basis

I always wonder if this has been the case forever, where on a daily basis so many things go through our minds. I want to believe that life was truly much simpler in the past,  and definitely before the social media craze. I mean yes we did have concerns and worries, but I don’t think the way we obsessed about them was as bad as it is now – when every day we thumb through our phones at least six or more times, in search of answers, all of which contradict one another – us hoping to relate to an article that will set us straight and perhaps help us achieve to become the best person we can – even if some of the suggestions are crazy ridiculous and we know it. The other day, I was pushing my cart in a grocery store, while my mind was on a thousand other things,  thinking…and then I heard “excuse you b****,” a man’s voice shouting in my direction when apparently I crossed his path. Which isn’t …

Interesting Finds Online – Vol 6

I’ve sort of lagged off on this topic for the sake of other variations of putting all similar topics into one entry  rather than a mix-match of topics. But then I realized since our brains are now programmed to wander off here and there clicking on links to read this and that, I should revisit my interesting finds online. Vol 6 goes something like this: 1. Ten products that promises to transform your hair, nails and skin while you sleep! 2. I don’t know about you, but I do admire Jennifer Aniston the most from her generation of actors who managed to set a standard for the rest of us to follow, in terms of looking and feeling this good. {photo source} 3. Five low-maintenance house plants is something I came across just in time, needing to refresh my studio apartment potted plants. 4. Here’s a suggestion for 20 lunches you can make over the weekend – although I do worry about how long freshly cut vegetables will last – but I am going to …
