Sunday Morning Reads

Seems the air quality in the Bay Area is slowly getting back to normal – and the sun is out – which has me wondering if I should step outdoors and do a bit of walking along the coast. Which is my normal routine on Sundays except the past three weeks or so – due to the poor air quality as a result of the Napa/Sonoma fires. But it is a slow start – meaning to say, I naturally got online with my cup of mint green tea and found these to share – with those intending to have a lazy Sunday:

Decor: Picking The Right Exterior Design For Your Home

We’ve been procrastinating on the idea of replacing our roof and with that of course refreshing the paint or the look of the exterior. Although the wait list for a roof replacement is a mile or two long and the cost – very out of to control in comparison to other places around the country, it needs to be done. We know we are getting ripped off, but what can you do. The price one has to pay for living in such an expensive city. Anyway, while we wait out our turn – it looks like early March or late March – who knows anymore, I am already doing research on the rest of the exterior decor with minor design updates. Here’s my favorites so far: And here’s the rest of my favorites from Home Designing 🙂 just because I love modern architecture and design:

Photographs That Speak Volumes

Over the weekend, I hit a wall – in terms of writing and blogging. I was in Sausalito on Saturday, just enjoying the Indian Summer, and all of sudden, I realized I had nothing to talk about. I know this happens to most people striving to be creative.  Then I went home that night and watched 3 classic films and suddenly, I came to. More about that later. But for now let your imagine wander with these photos that speak volumes. {source from here, and here}

Saturday Morning Interesting Reads Online

I get up at 5:30  every morning, no matter the day. I love the quiet, and the peacefulness, because it helps me think best and plan out my day and even reshuffle my life goals.  Then, I do some of my best writing here, there, and even a chapter for my next novel. But what I love most about this time, is what I find interesting online to share with all of you:

Travel: The Colorful Storefronts of Paris

I actually smiled from ear to ear when I saw this beauty of an article because, in March, when I did my annual Euro-trip, with 3 days in Paris, my travel partner and I stood across the street from a restaurant (featured image above), deciding whether we should have lunch there or not, and while contemplating, a handsome man who obviously either owned the place or managed it, stood within the doorway and waved, either flirting or encouraging us to go inside. Laughing, or giggling like school girls, we decided to pass. I think the pressure of him taking our order would have made us spend too much 🙂 – Now that I think about it, we should have taken him up on his offer to simply sit  at curbside, and just be. So, this article, about the colorful storefronts of Paris is actually so very true. I do stop and go inside any store that is creatively decorated on the outside, luring me in – in my case, admiring the artist and the owner …
