San Francisco: SFMoMa Museum In Architecture

I welcome all visionaries who posses the skill to be forward thinkers  – taking a risk to create something out of the norm, unique and unexpected. To leave their mark on society for decades to come. An example is the architect behind the San Francisco MoMA Museum which for the past 3 years has been going through a major renovation, one I have gladly monitored the progress  for the past 36 months. I’m serious – I actually walked by the construction zone daily to see it taking shape. And now, the grand opening on May 14, which I am invited to attend. In the meantime, you can read all about MoMA here, and see the photographs I’ve taken (not the aerial)  just in case you are as nuts about architecture as I am: I am also excited to report that since this marvel is complete, I am going to shift my focus  on the renovation of the convention center/Moscone center just across the street from MoMa. {photo credit of aerial view}

San Francisco: A Penthouse Worth Talking About

I see this view every day from my office, and have taken many photos of the best sunrise on this side of town. See the ballpark in the background? Yup, that’s my Giants ballpark. Anyway, I’ve stared at this view for over five years, not once knowing that people actually live there, and that there is a story to their story, and now their penthouse is up for sale. Wish I could put in an offer on the 8.5 million price tag 🙂  Check out the story here.

Design Decor: Interesting Finds About San Francisco

My city has come a long way, evolving into a prestige metropolis, well planned out over the past twenty-plus years and still going strong, integrating many improvements and modern architecture, while preserving some of the city’s historical elements. I love it. Spending days walking downtown studying the progress, snapping too many photographs of the past and the future to chronicle bygones-I’ve seen done in so many photographer’s coffee-table books. My favorite one shelved at my dentist’s office 🙂 If you are anything like me, you might appreciate the following tidbits about San Francisco, and maybe plan your travels to witness some of the upcoming changes. {To read about the SF street improvements click here}

The City – My City, San Francisco

I’ve lived in San Francisco most of my life. Meaning, I left for about eight years and then came back, and I have no plan on moving to anywhere else anytime soon. The city has definitely progressed and will probably continue to evolve for decades more, if the techy industry continues trending the way that it is – in the bay area. Until of course someone exploits Austin,  Texas.  Shhh. Until then there is so much to the city and in reality I can’t get enough of discovering something new every time I turn around or even rediscovering something I’ve known most of my life. There is a list someone came up with here with a handful of eateries he considers the reason San Francisco is so delicious right now.  What I’d like to add to that is, these are only a few of the reasons the city is so delicious right now.  There is more, much more…and the only way to find out is to pay us a visit and see for yourself, or …
