So Many Things Go Through My Mind On A Daily Basis

I always wonder if this has been the case forever, where on a daily basis so many things go through our minds. I want to believe that life was truly much simpler in the past,  and definitely before the social media craze. I mean yes we did have concerns and worries, but I don’t think the way we obsessed about them was as bad as it is now – when every day we thumb through our phones at least six or more times, in search of answers, all of which contradict one another – us hoping to relate to an article that will set us straight and perhaps help us achieve to become the best person we can – even if some of the suggestions are crazy ridiculous and we know it. The other day, I was pushing my cart in a grocery store, while my mind was on a thousand other things,  thinking…and then I heard “excuse you b****,” a man’s voice shouting in my direction when apparently I crossed his path. Which isn’t …

Boutique Hotel Pick – L’Hotel Marrakech – Morocco

I’ve been longing for an exotic destination lately. Kind of like in Indiana Jones, set in the 30’s. Whatever happened to those types of movies? Don’t you ever wonder. I do. So the other day while trying to figure out what to watch on television, set in that time period and the location of course somewhere exotic, this amazing hotel popped up – enticing me…or perhaps sparking an interest to write the next story around this highly romantic destination. See for yourself what I mean:

Travel: Day 2 – Bath, Somerset, England

After my numerous heart attacks, and white knuckles and the urge to throw up at every roundabout craziness known to  (most of) the world as driving on the wrong side of the road, plus  in our case, through the winding countryside roads in rain and high wind getting to Bath from Stratford-Upon-Avon, we finally arrived at ten in the morning and parked our car in the paid parking lot – hoping to grab breakfast and then sightsee about the town. My friend who lives in the ‘said town’ two hours from Stratford, was irritated to say the least, since this was the first time she drove outside of her comfort zone in rain and wind. Let it be known she is a temporary transplant from US to UK. Also note here that the last time I was in Bath was twenty years ago. So you can imagine my surprise seeing a town transformed into a modern version of what I had seen several decades ago. The first change was the added  boutiques and shops along …

Travel: Flora and Fauna

Thankfully, it’s been raining, in San Francisco. Finally everything is turning green and lush, and coming back to life. I can’t wait for spring this year, as the flowers will bloom perfectly, and the parks will be  pure delight to walk through. But all of this got me thinking about flora and fauna and so the search began online for the most interesting finds a about this topic:

recipe: fried apples and toast

This is part of my romantic morning after breakfast series. I hardly order dessert in restaurants and seldom even make them at home. As you see desserts are my weakness. Don’t get me wrong, when I’m in Paris, I do indulge, mostly puff pasty desserts with apples, or chocolate. Minus of course a daily intake of crepe here and there. This recipe stood out for me, not so much because it is a dessert(although it can be used as such), but the fact, its made with apples, cinnamon, raisin and almonds some of my favorites. Anyway, blogger’s rule, I cannot post the entire recipe here so click here to get there:

paris and more paris via instagram

Yes, it is that time of year where I do nothing but dream of Paris in all its glory and even not the very perfect, I learned from speaking with locals. But it matters not, a girl can dream, especially one who lives so far away from this magical city. Here are some of my favorite spots perfectly photographed and uploaded via Instagram here:

friday’s five interesting finds online – vol. one

Here I go again, revamping something I’ve done years ago. Sharing with you all a few interesting finds online. 1. I go to Paris at least once a year, and during my trip I shop at Monoprix for all of my snacks, and bottled water and so on. I actually look forward to doing that. So, here’s a story about Monoprix and how I will never venture out into their basements. Although it is an interesting find: 2. Twenty-Five things I didn’t know about Breakfast at Tiffany’s was an article I stumbled upon while looking up information about George Peppard-at the time the handsome actor who portrayed Holly’s love interest in the film. I was using his portrayal as research for my next novel. Anyway, here are the facts if you are interested. 3. Flight MH370 disappeared nearly a year ago (3/8/2014) and its story the most daunting. Still today, we have no idea what happened, and all of us rely on speculation, although deep down we all have a pretty good idea as to …
