A Moment To Reflect

I got the worst kind of call last night – from someone very dear to me to tell me she was faced with the most difficult decision – to put her beloved Yorkie to sleep. A 2.5 pound beauty she’d had for 14 years. His sudden illness – while driving back from a trip to San Francisco over the weekend to visit her family – tearing her world apart. I can still hear her gut-wrenching cry over the phone last night, asking for the best course of action, when she knew deep down she had to make the worst of decisions. She’d been up for over 20 hours since Sunday afternoon at the Pet Hospital 50 miles from her home, hopeful that her forever pup would pull through… So forgive me for taking a few days to figure out how to help her cope.

What All The Quiet Is About…

On this 22nd day of December, I woke up particularly early, barely passed midnight, from all the thinking I’ve been doing throughout the week, and apparently well into the night, last night. My subconscious forcing me to open my eyes and continue to ponder over ways to improve, at the very least, the quality of my life, and make changes in 2018 that will get me on the right track. That’s what all the silence on this blog has been about, me thinking, past the gift giving, the clothes, the decor, and all things travel and focus on what is important – family, love, faith and good old-fashioned approach to happiness.  And I wish you all the same. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays:

The resolution season is upon us, and while some share what they plan to change in the coming year, other’s still ponder, knowing the pressure is on – or is it?  Why is it that we put such pressures on ourselves – is it to fit in, or is it something we long to do – in this case, make a New Year resolution… With that thought in mind, if you happen to be in the still-pondering stages of what you wish to change or improve upon or wonder what is the best idea, then I’m here to help… Consider the need to slow down your life and here’s why? Lifestyle: Consider These Eye-Opening Suggestions

The end to the year is only 32 days away. Sorry, did I scare you?  And outside of the decoration, and hunt for that perfect Christmas gift, or dinner parties and such, we need to think about how to proceed in the next coming year. I know for me 2017 was probably the most challenging year and I would love to move into 2018 with the best attitude and approach to positive living. So, I’ve been reading this and that, and figured I should share, in case you aim to make some pretty constructive changes or adjustments to your life:

Lifestyle: Looking At the Bright Side of Things

In speaking with a few important people in my life, I realized the other day, that I do a lot of talks of encouragement and positive thinking when helping to ward off the insecurities we all feel once in a while or sometimes even all the time. I also email/share articles to support my approach. Sort of like these:

Random FYI’s To Distract

Just in case you wish to avoid all things Halloween, I’ve included some fun things to keep you busy today: I know a dozen people who are so fixed on the negative, they have forgotten how to live life to the fullest. Here’s a list of books that can apparently change your life and your thinking to become more positive. ♦ I love the title of this article – Being Your True Self In A Relationship is Less Important Than Being Your Best Self addressing all things in a relationship that: According to a study recently published in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin and highlighted by Christian Jarrett in BPS Research Digest, feeling like your most authentic self isn’t necessarily what makes the relationship feel authentic; instead, relationships are stronger and more satisfying when they make you feel like the best, most aspirational version of who you can be.
