Since downgrading my home to a comfy studio in the city, I realize the only space I miss is a home-office. Although I’ve managed to create a corner in the large studio for a desk of my own – I still feel a dedicated room for my hobbies and writing is much needed. And so the dreaming and planning begins – for such a space in a future home with a combination of these decorating ideas. {featured image source}
The idea of a prince marrying an American girl was something the Hallmark channel mastered – telling a story that could only be a fairytale. I mean, in real life, there was Grace Kelly who married Prince Rainier III of Monaco in the late 50’s. But we were all too young to remember that one and so we resolved, watching and daydreaming through the Hallmark movies – until of course late last year, when it was announced that Prince Harry would marry Meghan Markle on May 19. So I thought it would be fun to share a destination wedding venue to consider in case you are planning a fairytale wedding of your own.
In recent years I fell in-love with a certain color – and aimed to redecorate my surroundings embracing that very color. Not so much because it was trendy, but simply because it was based on my mood that particular year. However, this past year, I realized while revamping a room or two throughout the house, that I have remained loyal to the same hues (soft blue-gray, pastels, neutrals, and metallic) and simply mixed and matched them into my own unique decor style. Perhaps mostly because I live by the water, those colors tend to blend the inside into the outdoors. What’s your decor color theme?
Just in case you are not familiar with the Met Gala – here’s the background. And if you are familiar with the event, you are aware that this year’s theme was “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.” So in light of the topic, I have included some of my favorite theme fashion at this year’s event.
While lunching with a friend the other day, I asked how she spent her spare time now that her kids are off to college, and she told me – she watched Real Housewives or other shows revolving around ‘pretend reality’. Naturally I nodded, and didn’t think much of it until later that day, when I realized that most of my friends do watch and obsess reality shows – which got me wondering why some of us are drawn to such television shows or topics online and off. In case you are wondering the same or just need to read something this Monday (insert your timezone) then consider the following to enlighten you: {here and here}
Two of my favorite pastime – reading a novel and watching movies – American made and international. So I figured I’d share with you what is trending around me right now: Have you read or seen a film you want to share?
Some posts require no added words, but a simple attention to detail and appreciation of the ornament.
One Month and I am definitely over the hump – meaning no more craving carbs and sugar. And the funny thing is – this new lifestyle change has me searching for better ways to eat and this is what I’ve come up with for this week’s dinner plans:
I think, if personalized, these gowns would best fit for the stars walking down some red carpet. A gala perhaps, the styles in soft blues, and lavender, white and even black. And if a bride chooses the fashion for her special day, then I give her . Either way, can you guess which is my absolute favorite?
