Fashion: Backpacks Are In

If you live in a tech city and need to commute to work, while working on your commute, the backpack is the ideal bag-of-sorts to consider. I do, and it has helped a great deal since I converted, especially when the train breaks down in San Francisco, and you find yourself walking a great distance sometimes, so the backpack helps. Not to mention the lunch, the shoes, the laptop, and everything else but the kitchen sink women need to feel whole while outside of our homes. 🙂 Check out these stylish ones… and do you prefer a handbag over a backpack? {source}

Fashion: Style Parisian and Mermaid Inspired Bodice

I’ve been too focused on travel these past few weeks, but only because it is that season and I am having withdrawals. Since this year, everyone I normally visit has decided to visit me in San Francisco during the worst of seasons – FOG, and more FOG and cold and no visibility, just white with much sprinkles. 🙂 So fashion came to be the topic today because, I happen to love Parisian style, and Italian ones and the idea of creativity in terms of design.

Fashion: Dresses and Shirts from Boden

I discovered Boden last year, when searching for summer dresses that were borderline dressy – from work to play – by play I mean packing for my travels. 🙂 Last year, I bought this dress, which has become my favorite, most comfortable and flattering piece I’ve worn for a while. Considering we’ve had a week long HOT temperatures around San Francisco, I am feeling the need to add a few more pieces to my wardrobe. {featured image source}

Hello Monday

As you might have noticed, I’ve been silent the past week or so here and really for all the wrong reasons. I’ve had to juggle a few too many things and in between decided to shelf a few others until I can get caught up. Well, last night at 10:30 p.m. I managed to get caught up enough to turn in and woke up on 2:30 a.m. and realized my list of things to do is only half done. I also realized this morning while commuting in to work, that most folks on on holiday, which is something I wish I could be doing right now. But this year it seems is going to be another tough one and I just have to continue to juggle until there is a happy balance. Until then – let’s focus on a few distractions this Monday morning – in hopes to calm the anxiety.

Let’s Ease Into The Week, Shall We?

I have visions of just gliding into this week. Especially after the crazy hectic few weeks that seems to have become the norm in most everyone’s life. I am not saying that I have nothing to do, or that deadlines and such are not around the corner. I am just thinking a slower start is in order. I love June – its my month and no matter how the world and those around me try to get me down, I won’t have it this month. I am going to do my best to rise above all things and just be excited, and thankful, and happy and content for the next 30 days. So, here we go – these are some of the things that are inspiring me this morning. {featured image source}

Fashion: Cotton and Lace

In my twenties I went through a phase of wearing nothing but dresses and tops adorned with lace and fancy trimmings. My boyfriend at the time wasn’t a fan, so I shifted my attire to all things he would appreciate to try to captivate him. Eh, we all do silly little things here and there, but since then I’ve stayed true to my style of wearing whatever feels right :). But I stumbled upon this site, while searching for children’s wear to expand right here (coming soon), and I have to admit – I am loving a few adult pieces, like… And how cute are these?

Fashion: Her Style, My Style

I often wish, while putting on a pair of jeans and a comfortable blouse, that I had a reason to fashion as I did during my corporate career. Where all professionals were required to dress business, not so casual, just business attire – scurrying about the financial district to their professional careers  – kind of like these beautiful ensembles by one of my favorite influencers, who seems to be able to pull off the business and casual look in this jeans-preferred techy city by the bay:

Fashion: Summer Wardrobe In Mind

Although we seldom have a real summer in San Francisco, us locals make it a point to escape the fog and cold by heading to inland. Whether the wine country, a picnic by the river, even Lake Tahoe, we leave town to get our fair dose of sun and summer weather. And since I am a planner, here’s what I am thinking for this summer attire – neutrals and interchangeable accessories
