fashionable ankle boots for fall to winter 2012

It goes without saying, most women love shoes and will probably shop for a pair at least once a month if not more. So, it goes without saying that I frequent shoe stores almost on a bi-weekly basis in an actual store and online on a daily basis. What can I say an addict is an addict 🙂 And for that, here are some of my favorite finds for this Fall to Winter season. One: Jimmy Choo Lornes Suede Boots 895USD Two: Acne Pistol Leather Ankle Boots 570USD Three: Haide Rackermann Lace Up Suede 1182USD Four: Rag and Bone Harro Leather Biker Boots 495USD Five: Burberry Shearling Lined Leather Boots 950USD

On Saturday it was super cold in San Francisco, even though the weather reports indicated otherwise.  So, although I made plans to leisurely walk along the beach, I ended up curled up under a blanket on the couch and began shopping online for sweater and warm dresses. autumn in the air – what to look forward to

When you live in a city like San Francisco, it’s really difficult to tell when the seasons change. Unless of course you are completely in-tuned with nature. Either way,  Autumn has become one of my favorite seasons and one that I look forward to, almost secretly. Autumn is an inspiring season for many reasons: photo credits and merchandise information: photo 1 – click here: photo 2 – click here: photo 3 – click here and here: photo 4 click here: photo 5 – click here

fall 2012 fashion loves from banana republic

Fall, definitely, is my favorite time of the year in fashion and there is no better place to shop for my fall ensemble then Banana Republic. I love the fact, BR (which is how the company is known in San Francisco) has maintained a high standard in manufacturing their clothing line,  while staying tastefully fashionable.  I have shopped with them for several decades and hope to remain a loyal client for decades to come. Check out some of my favorites which are versatile enough for the woman over 40 to consider.

fashion inspired by autumn in paris

Too soon to think Autumn,  even though it is actually almost around the corner. But in the fashion world, Autumn attire is long planned and introduced. So for that, here is my favorite ensemble, inspired by the beautiful colors of fall time in Paris. gentlemen’s corner – fashion nostalgia

I had worked in the San Francisco financial district throughout the nineties and was accustomed to seeing men in suits, then I escaped the madness of downtown and settled into a more laid back suburban workplace for a handful of  years. When I returned to the financial district five years ago, I was shocked to find most work places had adopted the business casual attire or blue jeans.  I have no problem with that… except I actually miss the suits and the care men took in looking sharp for their workplace. That’s all I want to say 🙂 and perhaps/maybe ask, what do you think about men in suits vs casual business attire in a workplace?

fashion: winter to spring transition

Since we  have been experiencing Spring like weather here in San Francisco, it has become truly challenging to dress for the weather since at the crack of dawn, when I get ready for work, it’s 32degrees and by lunch time it’s 65degrees and then by the evening it dips back down to the 30s again,  I am at a loss with my business casual attire. The only saving grace, living in a city like San Francisco, is that most women here have transition clothes for the ever changing weather, which is ok to wear in winter, spring to summer and fall.  So with that said, I have put together some things from my closet which I consider transition clothes from Winter to Spring. 1. Burberry London Knitted Silk Cardigan USD550 (winter) 2. Dolce Gabana Cotton blend shirt USD325 (Staple) 3. Calvin Cline Knit V-Neck Cardigan 675 (spring) 4. Ralph Lauren Collection Corrine Suede boots USD460 (winter) 5. Stella McCartney Alyssa Wool-twill Skirt USD585 (Staple) 6. DKNY leather tote USD325 (Staple) 7. Stella McCartney Faux python …

some fashion and personal style

Sometimes when we put an outfit together, we cannot visualize how it would really look. I know this because sometimes when I see a few pieces suggested together in a magazine or a print ad, I wonder how that would really look as an ensemble. So for that, I have added a few items of clothing from here – first separately for the optimist and the pessimist in me and other women as well, and then the final result just incase the negative  trait over rules the positive from a visual point of view. 1.Top: Maje Leopard Silk Crepe Sweater $245 2.Pants: Vionnet Cadiz stretch crepe pants $905 3.Jacket: Carven Wool Blend Felt Cocoon Coat $970 4.Ankle Boots: Pierre Hardy Sued Ankle Boots $895 5.Bag: Proenza Schouler ps1 Keep all small texture bag $1150 6.Earings: Isharyanilenymph 18K Gold plated drop earings $160

wool and other blend sweaters for winter 2011

Finding just the right sweater for Winter is probably the most challenging, in my opinion, since there is always some sort of drastic temperature change going from outdoors to indoors. I, for one, would prefer to dress in layers just so I can peel them off when it’s too hot indoors and put everything back on when it’s too cold outdoors. But once in a while I do enjoy wearing sweaters throughout the entire day, no matter how hot or cold I am throughout the day. For that, I have selected some of my favorites from here:
