The first time I stayed in a converted mansion into a hotel was in Edinburgh a few years back, and the place, although remodeled, maintained the old charm of the past, even down to the creaky floors and the stained glass windows. Which all felt like I was travelling in time in addition to simply travelling. Parts of the weekend didnt’ turn out how I expected – with my stress level elevating to highs so out-of-control that my body simply shut down. I sort of slowed down with my hotel picks over the holidays but I’m starting to get the itch to travel again – as I said many times before, if I could do it full time, I would without a second thought. But for now, traveling is spread across the year. But believe me the dreaming hasn’t stopped, where one day I can simply travel.
