Why Treating Yourself Is A Wonderful Idea

I haven’t shopped much this year, thinking I already have all that I need in my efforts to downsize and live a simpler life. But, sometimes, one has to simply treat themselves to the smallest of things, to elevate the otherwise bleakest of emotions surfacing during this time of year. For that very reason, I did a bit of window shopping over the weekend, and without plan really ended up with these goodies.

Reactive gray speckle dinnerware – just the salad bowls – I found on clearance at West Elm and felt it would be the best of addition to my otherwise eclectic collection of dinnerware

Charter Club Pure Cashmere Blazer – in Gray (sensing a trend here)

Derwent Academy Watercolor pencils for the art travel journal I will be creating of all my travels to mark a milestone birthday

Perhaps the best treat of all is one that my mother has used her entire life, Oil of Olay products and I figured I’d give it a try – considering I wear the minimal of makeup and this one is perfect to help moisturize and protect.

Incorporating gluten-free and dairy free eating into my cooking – and this plan will help kick off the mindset.

What have you treated yourself to recently?
