if i could do it all over again

There are times, like most people of my age group, I contemplate the fact, if I were able to do it all over again what would I change. Although this adult game is mostly played over a glass of wine or two in my household with friends, I can’t help but wonder how other women feel about the question?

If I could do it all over again, I would have:

lived in Paris during my twenties and thirties

duplicated the Grace Kelly look for my wedding

Raised my children in the French countryside

Written  a novel years ago

followed my passion – acting

Became an inspirational speaker for women

How about you?

At any given time, I have the power to say, “…this is not how the story will end…” Are you writing this especially for me? It seems that you are! You are more than correct… I do have the power to make my life a happy ending. It is not in the hands of anyone else but me! True, there have people along the way who have hurt me, deeply; but, I can choose to let that hurt engulf and consume me or slowly move on and find happiness within myself, my family and friends!

I would have moved to Dubrovnik back in 1971 when I first began my love affair with the town. Love, peace and joy are now mine.

Moving past is proving to be extremely difficult; but, I will get through this and be a happier, healthier person as a result. 🙂
