Travel: In Celebration of Ireland

Although St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow – some of us folks begin all the festivities today, at work and after work, and well into Saturday :).  Any reason for a good party, we Americans believe.  Although last year, while in Scotland on St. Patrick’s day I got a bit of the partying there too in Edinburgh, with a pop up outdoor (really indoor due to the unpredictable weather), bar, and a week long celebrating throughout the fair city. So, in celebration of Ireland, I have listed a few fun facts, just to prep you for some good old-fashion beer chugging and conversation.

Travel: For The Adventurist at Heart

For some people the norm is boring – you know the week long island vacation, sipping a tropical drink by the poolside, or a 7-day museum pass for Paris to spend a week indoors, staring at art and then there is the pasta lovers trip that’s been overdone – according to some. So, if you fall into the category of sitting across your travel partner over Saturday morning breakfast asking yourselves ‘where to go?’ consider the following adventure geared, from this list for best 2018 travel destinations:

Travel: Ireland In All Its Glory

A friend of mine just came back from Ireland, and based on all the photos she posted through the usual means – Instagram, Facebook, I couldn’t help myself but hit like on her posts. So in honor of my friend and her husband taking their first trip together abroad and enjoying every bit of it, I share with you an article on my favorite Conde Nast Traveller magazine about the most beautiful places in this fair country of Ireland to jump kick your Monday or to heighten your wanderlust: And by the way, if you can’t take a trip just now, then consider seeing Leap Year available on Netflix right now to get you by. Have a good Monday everyone.

Adventure Travel For All Type

As I’ve mentioned before I was a travel agent at one point in my life, and I have to say that was one of my favorite jobs – you know – making people feel good by traveling. Out company, although mostly for student travel, we also offered up adventure travel – past the typical tours, we specialized in booking folks on adventures of all types – and each time we sent someone off on one of those speciality adventures, they came back raving, and wanting to book more. In line with this topic, I have found a pretty good site for those interested in soft adventure, or one that is rigorous, for families or without, groups or thrill seekers. Check out what I mean:

Final Thoughts From My Holiday Abroad

I took a flight from London Heathrow on Sunday, leaving my heart behind for so many reasons. I have to say too many to list here. But most of all for the wonderful time I had with a good friend of mine, touring England, Scotland and a little of France – Paris to be exact. Three weeks ago, I was beside myself, looking very forward to the trip she and I planned – considering we’d both been travel agents in the past, we spend a few weeks beforehand strategizing on how we wanted the trip to flow with minimal stress and maximum enjoyment. Now that the holiday is over, I realize that the time away from home was much-needed for me, so that I can return refreshed and recharged enough to deal with all the ups and downs that life has in store for us in 2017. One of the most important things I decided upon, while talking to my friend throughout the trip, is that, instead of focusing only on the bad that happens …
