My travel series wouldn’t be a travel series if I did not include monthly travel recommendations from here and here and my top picks. {featured image source}

In line with this week’s theme – oh you know – Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share the most romantic places to visit in the U.S. – although these places are something to experience whenever you embark on a romantic long-weekend getaway (for the locals) or for those coming from abroad, and want a bit of adventure. Here’s my picks and for the rest you can go here: {Inspiration or source for this topic}
I have a journal where I log in all the places and things I want to see in my lifetime, as well as some recipes I’ve come up with while commuting home, and a list of must-read books, hopefully I will get around to in between the many other to-do items listed there as well. On one of the pages, I have planned my trip to New England, which is a part of the U.S. I haven’t been – well, if you consider a train ride from Montreal to New York – having been – then I have, over twenty years go. So, the planning has happened, the driving route settled on and the hotels handpicked by yours truly – the only thing left is deciding which season is best for New England travel, because I hear, all seasons are the best season to experience the region. But if you happen to be fortunate enough to leave near by, here’s a list of 20 romantic weekend getaways in New England and my favorites: {featured image …
At least to me. I decided to start the new year talking travel – my favorite subject and something I wish I can do the entire year. So, without much delay, here are the top travel destinations for January – or February – if you decide you need a week or two off to recover from all the holiday stress, or planning a romantic getaway for Valentine’s Day or simply getting married and need a wintertime honeymoon destination.
American football season is in full swing and while some folks gather around the television set to watch a game or two or three, the rest of the folks aim to catch up on chores, planning outfits for the week, paying bills and even finishing up homework. But if you are the lucky few without a care in the world on this Sunday, then play catch up right here:
In some parts of the world, November is still the best time to travel, while others, although a bit chilly with a chance of snow, may be the most romantic and a refreshing alternative to the busy season. It all depends on what it is you’re looking for in November travels: {Disneyland photo source}
You know when you live in a big or one getting bigger than desired by a local, with construction work taking place in every corner, freeways, byways, suburban neighborhoods, reroutes, detours, traffic, craziness and overpricing of even the simplest bagel/cream cheese sandwich, you feel the need to escape – to somewhere like…Norway and all its natural beauty and a simpler way of life. I know the grass isn’t always greener on the other side, but right about now, I’ll make believe.
If I could drop everything for a year simply to travel the world, I would. In a heart beat. In a blink of an eye. In a split of a second and all other clichés you wish to insert here, to convey my dedication to traveling. I consider it a wonderful addiction that only some of you can relate to. Travel awakens my senses, and offers a wider perspective – whether political, social, cultural – to build upon my wisdom so that I can approach my everyday life in the most positive manner. So here’s to the best travels for October – {featured image – Upstate New York}
I hardly believe there is an off-season when it comes to Italy. But if you’ve been, you can actually tell the difference in some parts of the country. Mostly along the coast – the tourists have tapered off and the locals seem to be taking a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle. Enter – me and whoever I am travelling with in late September or anytime in October or November – always interested in exploring the coastal towns in off-season, no matter if buses, trains and ferries have adjusted their schedules according to off-season runs. I love having a place nearly all to myself, with ideal climate and quiet. See what I mean:
As I stated earlier this week, we are coming to the best travel months of any year – you know, past the summer rush with college students and lots of families and group travelers crowding every city or town, most anywhere in the world. Driving the prices for accommodations to high season rates, and the locals to grow inpatient with all the chaos. I do my best to stay away the summer months and plan my trips in early Spring or Fall. For this very reason – I have decided to share some interesting suggestions for those of you planning to vacation like me – semi-off-season, or what I like to call ‘adult vacationing’
