At the moment I am loving this and that interiors.
Ever since I’ve been on the kick to redecorate my studio apartment, I have fallen in love with everything available to make my dwelling my very own work of art. I had forgotten how wonderful it is to decorate, revamp, recharge, redo and since I finally got my very own kitchen, I am slowly piecing the place together to make it a permanent home for a while. Areal rugs are a must in my opinion, it not only ties in your room’s decor, but also feels good against, well in this case, my feet. Here are some of my favorites to ponder over while I decide on re-arranging the space.
One of the must do’s during the Thanksgiving Weekend is of course decorating the Christmas Tree. While in my household, I use the same decor each year, adding a new ornament to my meaningful collection, my offsprings consider changing it up in theres. But no matter what, the actual exercise is always memorable and the tree lighting celebration rewarding and fun while we toast the beginning of the Christmas season with a bottle of champagne.
On occasion I contemplate owning only the simple things in life and although I have downsized quiet a bit since my move back to San Francisco, I am really considering maintaining a streamlined and simple approach to decorating my next home. This could very well be just a phase, but for now check out what I am leaning towards:
A man ‘s home is his castle. I think I’ve heard this saying a dozen times and since I truly appreciate all forms of design and architecture, I truly believe that if a home is a man’s castle (well in my book it’s also a woman’s castle) then he, and once married, mostly she should find ways to make it a calming and esthetically pleasing place and of course words are not enough to express what I mean (as usual) so here are some of my favorite calming and esthetically pleasing style 🙂 {click on first photo to start the slideshow}
There are many components to a home which, like fashion, either make or break (in this case), the flow. And although I appreciate interior decor as much as the next person, I also admire interior or (in this case) also exterior design: Doors. As a result of my passion, I have taken over a thousand photos of doors during my travels and here in San Francisco and when I come across one I admire in a magazine or the internet, I click and save it. :). Here are some of my favorite doors
A challenging day overall, leading into a more stressful week has been the theme for this last week of the first month of 2012. But not everything is perfect and the best we can do is “keep calm and carry on” and of course stare at some photographs of inspirational decor.
I cannot get enough of art prints to hang throughout my studio apartment. But I must admit, I am very choosy when it comes to picking the right pieces to, mostly, inspire me. So, I was happy to have stumbled upon some prints here, which I want to add to my collection.
Foyers are an important part of any home. It is a place which establishes first impressions and for that, it cannot be overlooked or understated. I adore foyers and always dream of making an exciting statement with the one in my home. So I searched, as usual, and found the following inspirations to consider incorporating into my own unique style.
