I enjoy the weekends as much as the next person, but what I enjoy even more is the opportunity to work on my book. The interesting thing is that I have the drive and the determination to become a published writer but on occasion when I doubt my ambition, I turn to my collection of quotes to keep me focused.
For more reasons than one, I planned several years back to be at the Summer olympics in London. But, as usual life dictated otherwise, so my trip to the UK has been postponed for exactly a month after the Olympic games are over. In the meantime, I am spending my evenings catching up on the highlights instead of my blogs. So, I promise to be right back in the next few days to continue discussing most anything and everything inspiring that I could think of. 🙂
Despite the fog throughout most of the summer in San Francisco, there are occasional days when the sun breaks through and everyone in the city heads out to the coast, just to get a glimpse of the ocean. As I gaze at the heavy fog lurking throughout my neighborhood on a Monday evening after work, I cannot help but envision what heaven may look like.
A man ‘s home is his castle. I think I’ve heard this saying a dozen times and since I truly appreciate all forms of design and architecture, I truly believe that if a home is a man’s castle (well in my book it’s also a woman’s castle) then he, and once married, mostly she should find ways to make it a calming and esthetically pleasing place and of course words are not enough to express what I mean (as usual) so here are some of my favorite calming and esthetically pleasing style 🙂 {click on first photo to start the slideshow}
I don’t usually post on the weekends, but lately I’ve been thinking to revamp my blog. It’s not that I don’t like the one I currently have, but change is always good and I am a huge fan of change. So stand by for a couple of days while I toss up the idea of taking the leap.
While most people fidget with their i-phones or i-pads or i-pods to release tension, I allow my mind to wander off during my commute home from work. It, not only relaxes my eyes from staring at a computer or gadget, but also refuels my soul. I think about:
During an eight and sometimes ten hour work day, some individuals choose to go outside for a “smoke break”, while others gather over the “water cooler” to gossip. I prefer taking a five minute break every couple of hours to give myself what I call mental therapy . I do this by watching the following slideshow.
I think I am at a point in my life where I don’t feel so bad because I have to go to work, nor do I look so forward to the weekend. I normally understand my place in society and go about doing all the things I need to do and want to do.
