Ah the idea of being in a place like this for a week or two, to regroup and clear the mind and body and soul is an idea I’ve had for a long time. Escaping the hustle and bustle of city life and the never ending list of chores and realities of every day life. Nevermind the hotel is 57 miles from the nearest airport. Isn’t that the whole idea? 🙂
I can’t believe it’s already April and Easter has passed. Soon everyone will be busy with Mother’s day or graduations and weddings and well, we all know the rest. And I realized last night while wide awake, tossing and turning, that I need a break. From life, and all things real and simply go somewhere quiet and simply exist. I mean have you seen the film A Good Year? If so you will understand. If not, please rent it, stream it and see what I am talking about. With that said, I am longing for two weeks in this amazing little cottage in France with all the necessary amenities and some left out – which is perfectly fine with me.
Although St. Patrick’s Day is tomorrow – some of us folks begin all the festivities today, at work and after work, and well into Saturday :). Any reason for a good party, we Americans believe. Although last year, while in Scotland on St. Patrick’s day I got a bit of the partying there too in Edinburgh, with a pop up outdoor (really indoor due to the unpredictable weather), bar, and a week long celebrating throughout the fair city. So, in celebration of Ireland, I have listed a few fun facts, just to prep you for some good old-fashion beer chugging and conversation.

I love tourists, especially when I see them about the city (San Francisco) discovering the usual and some venturing out to the avenues to see the beaches, and hopefully a little of the city’s culture outside of the norm. I always feel like I should add my two cents when I see tourists on a street corner, with map fully opened, trying to figure out a bus route. I want to say, hey follow me to my neighborhood and try this restaurant or pub or simply take a walk through the blocks and check out the colorful homes perched along the streets. Everyone needs to experience an African Safari at least once in their lifetime. And with that believe I share with you the idea of gifting an African Safari – to celebrate a wedding anniversary, or a special birthday or even as a honeymoon destination. I couldn’t stop at just “San Francisco Coffee shops” when I was thinking about the title of this post 🙂 Becaaaauuuusseee….San Francisco, Uber, Union Square and coffee are a package deal – in terms of the order of things to do for tourists while visiting this fine city, I call home. (Mouthful I know) Anyway, if you are coming to town, or simply commuting in fron the Bay Area for some fun or shopping or a museum visit or just to get a glimpse of the ocean in October, then I suggest your first stop to be one of these fine coffee shops that I have tested and love:
I get up at 5:30 every morning, no matter the day. I love the quiet, and the peacefulness, because it helps me think best and plan out my day and even reshuffle my life goals. Then, I do some of my best writing here, there, and even a chapter for my next novel. But what I love most about this time, is what I find interesting online to share with all of you:
I always plan my travels for September – because I feel it is a great month to experience the best of weather, the least of crowds, and the locals not as stressed with tourists as they are during the summer.
