Food: Tomato and Goat Cheese and Bacon – SOLD!!!

I’m loving this gathering of simple food items which has my mouth watering: Ingredients 6-8 ounces goat cheese 2 teaspoons chopped fresh dill 2 teaspoons chopped fresh basil, plus more for serving 2 teaspoons lemon juice kosher salt and pepper 6 slices whole grain or sourdough bread 3 heirloom tomatoes, sliced 6 slices bacon, chopped 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes 1 pinch each salt and pepper

Food: I Call It Eating Light and Airy

The past couple of months while on the road, I’ve done some damage to my digestive system. Meaning to say, that I’ve made bad choices – in terms of eating. But the truth of the matter is that I was helping a friend re-locate from north California to Southern California and because of the madness, we’ve ordered in mostly. Or eaten at not-so-ideal chain fast food places. So, I am currently trying to detox my system from all the salt, and butter and just plain crap. And eating very light and airy I call it because of the fluff more so than the substance in the selections I’m making.  This is what I mean:

Food: Tomato, Zucchini, Halloumi Recipe

I was first introduced to Halloumi cheese in England in March. I mean I knew of the cheese, but have never tried it and when I was in England, I had it almost every night. With tomatoes, and basil mostly. The consistency is amazing to cook with, and combined with a variety of vegetables, especially ones this recipe calls for – the taste is simply out of this world:

Food: Harissa and Coconut Milk, Almonds and Deliciousness

I grew up eating harissa and thought nothing of it. In fact, I hated the texture and taste. Until recently I am finding this grain sold in most grocery stores and on menus in restaurants. Here’s a recipe I can’t get enough of – Harissa, coconut milk, almonds, squash, lentil. My mouth is watering just thinking about dinner tonight. Go here for the recipe
