A Lazy Saturday Topics of Interest

This time of year, I prefer the indoors, spending most of my weekends in my pajamas craving hot chocolate, baked goods, and naps. Don’t misunderstand. I have a list of chores I need to tackle, but for some reason, the gloomy outdoors has me needing to find inspiration… {featured image source and inspiration for this topic}

Inspired By the English Countryside

This morning while commuting to work, bits of the film The Holiday came to mind. Particularly the English cottage where one side of the story took place. Followed by the eclectic decor of course, and then how wonderful the connection between Cameron Diaz and Jude Law’s characters were, sparkly eyes, and bright smiles, make the perfect holiday film, don’t you think? Add Cameron’s/her character’s fashion sense, and basically it is a well rounded and my favorite modern holiday film  I happen to watch every year. So you can imagine me wanting to share these beauties, and my desire to simply hibernate for the entire month of December or maybe trade places with someone itching to hang out in San Francisco. Any takers? So, here are my questions?  Have you seen the film The Holiday?  Which side of the story do you relate to?  If you had the chance to trade places, what part of the world would you consider?  Is the fact,  we are near completing the first week of November freaking you out?  I’m …

Lifestyle: Anthropologie Not So In Moderation

I walked into Anthropologie at the Stanford Shopping mall yesterday with my jaw dropped, and my eyes lit up at the sight of the most beautiful put together emporium of holiday-ish and other products ready for the best shopping season of the year. I wanted everything, and most of the displays managed to captivate and enchant me in ways I haven’t been strolling though an actual retail establishment. Good for them, I say for materializing a solid vision. So I dug deep to find out which umbrella of retail stores was this particular establishment and discovered the results here.  It’s an interesting read that I will leave you to consider. Otherwise please proceed to the fun stuff below. {featured image and inspiration for blog entry}

Let’s Start Monday Right

I hope your weekends were grand and that you had a chance to decompress from the hustle and bustle of every day life. Perhaps your Monday is just beginning where in other places it’s nearing bedtime or beyond. But since I live in San Francisco, and my day is just beginning, as usual with the commuter train experiencing delays, I sit in my car near the station and list down all the beautiful things I want to share with all of you this week.

Fashion: Autumn In Style

It matters not the brand so much as the ability to duplicate the style’s I found here and decided to ‘Pinterest’ if you will on this post, and to help remind me of how to switch up my wardrobe to create these styles. Do you do that? Where you see an outfit you adore, and save the phone? And what is it about this classic rose or dusty pink color which can be worn throughout all seasons, when paired with the right accessories. Stylish Fall shoes are something to admire – in a variety of styles.

Why Treating Yourself Is A Wonderful Idea

I haven’t shopped much this year, thinking I already have all that I need in my efforts to downsize and live a simpler life. But, sometimes, one has to simply treat themselves to the smallest of things, to elevate the otherwise bleakest of emotions surfacing during this time of year. For that very reason, I did a bit of window shopping over the weekend, and without plan really ended up with these goodies. What have you treated yourself to recently?  {featured image source and inspiration for this post}

Fashion: Oscar De La Renta – Spring 2020

In New York the best of fashion was introduced for Spring 2020, and naturally one of ‘our’ favorite designers did not disappoint: Speaking of fashion – Did you also know that due to the current popularity of the TV show Friends, or perhaps being inspired by the 25th Anniversary of the series, Ralph Lauren is creating a Rachel Green clothing line – which by the way, I am completely fine with that decision. Do you or did you (ehm) adore Rachel Green’s wardrobe and tried to duplicate? 😉 And that hair naturally

Fashion: Fall Coats for 2019

The best ‘weather’ in season for San Francisco is Autumn, in that we get our Indian Summer – hot sunny days, and cooler evenings and we can literally see the moon at night (no fog). So thinking about coats for that season right before Winter sounds weird to us locals.  But, I can’t help share a few of my favorite coast from this list of twenty stylish fall coats for 2019 {featured image source and inspiration for today’s blog post} On another note – just started watching Mozart in the Jungle – and at first hated it, and now I am very curious to see the progression/story unfolding. Have you seen it? Will you see it? Does the show interest you or not your cup of tea?

Fashion: Backpacks Are In

If you live in a tech city and need to commute to work, while working on your commute, the backpack is the ideal bag-of-sorts to consider. I do, and it has helped a great deal since I converted, especially when the train breaks down in San Francisco, and you find yourself walking a great distance sometimes, so the backpack helps. Not to mention the lunch, the shoes, the laptop, and everything else but the kitchen sink women need to feel whole while outside of our homes. 🙂 Check out these stylish ones… and do you prefer a handbag over a backpack? {source}
