Fashion: Cotton and Lace

In my twenties I went through a phase of wearing nothing but dresses and tops adorned with lace and fancy trimmings. My boyfriend at the time wasn’t a fan, so I shifted my attire to all things he would appreciate to try to captivate him. Eh, we all do silly little things here and there, but since then I’ve stayed true to my style of wearing whatever feels right :). But I stumbled upon this site, while searching for children’s wear to expand right here (coming soon), and I have to admit – I am loving a few adult pieces, like… And how cute are these?

I often wish, while putting on a pair of jeans and a comfortable blouse, that I had a reason to fashion as I did during my corporate career. Online shopping is too much fun if you ask me and for sure a little dangerous, in that, the moment you find something you want, the retailer claims the item you are about to abandon in the shopping cart,  is the last one (in the whole of the universe it seems like)– so you  whip out your credit card, key it in,  and hit buy quickly – sometimes too many times within a week or a month – hopeful that the items that sparked an interest from online is even better tangible. Living in a techy city like San Francisco, the best approach to fashion is to fit in. Meaning to say that SOMA (south of Market) the dress code is more comfortable and functional. Which I completely appreciate after years of my corporate ensemble while employed in the financial district. So, shopping for these transitional weekday work wear to weekend hangouts is the most fun I have, especially online.
