Talks About Christmas Morning Breakfast to Mary Poppins

You know what I appreciate the most about traveling across the pond? The opportunity to wander  into an actual bookstore – whether a chain or a tiny corner store – and just thumb through the reads. I can do this for hours and often times end up buying, I kid you not, ten books to read until my next trip. So with that said, these are the three books I cannot wait to read – from the rest of the 15 book recommends for 2018-2019:   How to prep – ahead of the time –  Christmas morning breakfast – ten ideas to choose from This topic cannot be discussed soon enough in my household – Where to travel in 2019. A list of Valentine’s Day dresses sparked my curiosity this week before Christmas – realizing while scrolling through the suggestions, some are equally a wonderful choice for New Year’s Eve celebration – like this one: And my favorite – I’ve been waiting for a long time for the Mary Poppins sequel which opens tomorrow nationwide and …

But these wedding gowns are simply perfect to cross over to a formal occasion, a celebration gathering or fundraiser event by the rich and famous. Can you see shades of royal blue, formal black, crimson red, even burnt orange?

Fashion: Smart Styles to Age-Appropriate Looks

I’ve been monitoring Nordstrom’s smart business decisions lately – in aligning themselves with trendy bloggers and fashion icons and creating a pretty amazing shopping ‘frenzy’ I mean experience. 🙂  They have surely come a long way and in this crazy online shopping fad turned to the way of life, they have learned how to stay competitive. I applaud your drive Nordstrom. Okay, off the finance-box and up on the fashion one – here are a few pieces I’ve come to admire and click-to-buy quickly BECAUSE by the time I make a firm decision, whether I should or not – the items show  SOLD OUT. Yes I would – in white, black or checkered from Something Navy – but hurry…

Fashion: Fall Wear 2018

Living in a techy city like San Francisco, the best approach to fashion is to fit in. Meaning to say that SOMA (south of Market) the dress code is more comfortable and functional. Which I completely appreciate after years of my corporate ensemble while employed in the financial district. So, shopping for these transitional weekday work wear to weekend hangouts is the most fun I have, especially online.

Fashion: Ted Baker Hints of Fall

I walked into a Ted Baker store in London in May and immediately fell impressed with the clothing line and since then, I’ve ordered this and that from their U.S. online shop. But now, I am considering a few of their Fall/Winter fashion.  I get it, you might be thinking it’s too soon to think about anything past back to school and the Long (Labor Day) Weekend (US) – but planning ahead is always a good idea and sometimes even fun when shopping is involved:

Fashion: Coats and Jackets

Since we don’t really have a proper summer in San Francisco, it is very easy for the locals to shop for coats over the season and even wear them in the middle of October. Just this morning, two women were bundled up with gloves on and hoods tightly framing their faces. I get it, but I try to fight the urge to cloak myself just as well. So for the urge to wear a coat or simply shop for one – I have to say these are currently on my radar:

Fashion: Fall 2018 Trends

Had I paid attention to the fact, fashion is a recycle of trends, I would have stored all of my clothes from the 90’s until it was back in style. But instead, I was too glad to get rid of it all – hating the style back then.  Well now, some of those pieces are back and strangely enough, have been added to my wish list for when we experience the San Francisco version of Fall, also known as Indian Summer.   {photo source}
