Every year I play it safe, when choosing a holiday party dress, by wearing a simple black dress. This year however, I decided to search my favorite site for an unusual alternative and I have come up with the following choices as inspiration. Let me know what you think?
There is something to be said about a great fitting pair of jeans, a gray t-shirt and a pair of the sexiest designer shoes. Sometimes when we put an outfit together, we cannot visualize how it would really look. I know this because sometimes when I see a few pieces suggested together in a magazine or a print ad, I wonder how that would really look as an ensemble. Finding just the right sweater for Winter is probably the most challenging, in my opinion, since there is always some sort of drastic temperature change going from outdoors to indoors. I, for one, would prefer to dress in layers just so I can peel them off when it’s too hot indoors and put everything back on when it’s too cold outdoors. But once in a while I do enjoy wearing sweaters throughout the entire day, no matter how hot or cold I am throughout the day. For that, I have selected some of my favorites from here:
There are some colors in fashion that, no matter how hard you try, you cannot go wrong with them. That’s how I feel about neutrals and no matter what, I am always drawn to the hue. When I embarked on my research to write this article, I decided I would pick 3 outfits from each of my favorite designers and share with you their Fall 2011 fashion suggestions. I sometimes wonder what it would be like to live in a fashion conscious city like New York and dress like the Sex In The City cast? Don’t get me wrong, San Francisco is somewhat fashion trendy, but it is so mostly on conservative color choices. Perhaps because of our year long dreary weather, we tend to stick to blacks and grays and rarely walk about the city in fuschia, orange hues or bright yellows, well maybe as a shell underneath a suit. This fall, I am longing to add some gold, blood red orange, deep yellows and different shades of green to my wardrobe and hopefully set a new standard for myself no matter how black and gray the choices are all around me.
