a pair of jeans and a closet full of designer shoes

There is something to be said about a great fitting  pair of jeans, a gray t-shirt and a pair of the sexiest designer shoes.  It’s funny how far accessorizing a simple pair of blue jeans has come,  and because of that I have included my favorite selection of designer shoes to compliment my collection of jeans.  Well, of course I had to throw in my favorite bag  as well 🙂 which I plan to duplicate. 1. 7 for all mankind midrise bootcut USD160 2. some fashion and personal style

Sometimes when we put an outfit together, we cannot visualize how it would really look. I know this because sometimes when I see a few pieces suggested together in a magazine or a print ad, I wonder how that would really look as an ensemble. So for that, I have added a few items of clothing from here – first separately for the optimist and the pessimist in me and other women as well, and then the final result just incase the negative  trait over rules the positive from a visual point of view. 1.Top: Maje Leopard Silk Crepe Sweater $245 2.Pants: Vionnet Cadiz stretch crepe pants $905 3.Jacket: Carven Wool Blend Felt Cocoon Coat $970 4.Ankle Boots: Pierre Hardy Sued Ankle Boots $895 5.Bag: Proenza Schouler ps1 Keep all small texture bag $1150 6.Earings: Isharyanilenymph 18K Gold plated drop earings $160

fall 2011 outfit pick in neutrals

fall fashion must have

Some items of clothing  tend to never disappear from fashion, year after year and while I do appreciate colors and trends, I do create a simple wardrobe based on that fact, which I certainly wear year after year.  Here is one outfit, minus the trendy bags, which I have seen on the racks for the past, at least five years, and one that is simply easy to accessorize to give it a fresh look from one year to the next. 1. Sweater: Carven Ruched Stretch Wool Top $550 2. Skirt: Giambattista Vali Printed Wool Pencil Skirt $1155 3. Michael Kors block heeled suede ankle boot $950 4. carolina herrera: fall 2011 fashion for the woman over 40

When I embarked on  my research to write this article, I decided I would pick 3 outfits from each of my favorite designers and share with you their Fall 2011 fashion suggestions.  But when I flipped through the photographs here, I realized that Caroline Herrera has once again outdone herself, at least for the women over 40 and decided to dedicate this entry just to her. Check out some of my favorites below and by the way have an amazing weekend!!!

a sex and the city fashion envy

I sometimes wonder what it would be like to live in a fashion conscious city like New York and dress like the Sex In The City cast? Don’t get me wrong, San Francisco is somewhat  fashion trendy, but it is so mostly on  conservative  color choices. Perhaps  because of our year long dreary weather, we tend to stick to blacks and grays and rarely walk about the city in fuschia, orange hues or bright yellows, well maybe as a shell underneath a suit. This fall, I am longing to add some gold, blood red orange, deep yellows and different shades of green to my wardrobe and hopefully set a new standard for myself no matter how black and gray the choices are all around me. So, for the new objective at hand and the baby steps to get there , I have put together an outfit from here, which I plan to duplicate for the impending fall season. 1.Bottega Veneta Lace Cummberbund dress 2600 2. Roland Mouret Louis Hopsack wool coat 3455 3. Michael Kors Quinn …

how neutral is your fashion sense?

Don’t get me wrong, I love color, but even though that is the case, I tend to shop for neutrals more so than any other color. I love the sensibility of it, the fact no matter how the industry shifts  from one trend  to another, you can always be sure neutrals are somewhere in there, year after year after year. So, for that, I have included some of my latest favorite finds from here, which as usual I plan to duplicate this coming fall season: 1.Dress: Michael Kors Double Faced Angora and wool blend dress 1955USD 2.Sweater: Maison Martin Mangiela Wool/Silk blend cardigan 850USD 3.Bag: YSL Envelope Clutch 645 4.Shoes: Miu Miu Crystal Embellished patent leather 620USD 5.Sunglasses: Ilestreva Leonard Round Framed Acetata glasses 165USD 6.Earings: Monica Vinader Mini Luna Almond GP 335USD 7.Bracelet: Philippe Audibert Queens GP beaded cuff 505USD 8.Necklace: Mallarino Dalila 24K vermeil 925USD
