Take Note – How To Survive The Winter

I do live in San Francisco, and some days in the winter it dips below 50 degrees Fahrenheit. I know this all sounds funny for those of you struggling with worst weather conditions. But any cold or dreary weather does take its toll on anyone anywhere. So…this article caught my eye the other day and I thought why not share some of the suggestions offered -that I love – on how to survive the frigid winter season:

Travel: For the Grown Ups

Travel for the grown-ups are the off-season trips to destinations only couples without children or those with grown-up kids could possibly pull off beyond the summer months. You know, the time right as schools start for some in late August, or early September to the time just before the holidays. I consider this to be the best travel season, and here a a list of reasons why?

Fashion: Fall Wardrobe Planning Stages

After the renovation project of my space in San Francisco, I turned to my closet to get ready for the fall-winter season. Naturally I made several piles to donate, or toss what I no longer plan to wear. I do have a difficult time of letting of a few pieces as they tend to rotate back in style. But at this point in my life, I realize life is too short to hold on to every single thing, and that change is sometimes necessary to feel polished if you know what I mean.  So here we go for the San Francisco fall workwear I clicked and purchase from here:

fine bit of finds on my birthday

I was in a famous bookstore the other day, City Lights in Northbeach, aiming to promote my second novel Nob Hill.  By the way if you haven’t been, do make it a point to visit during your visit to San Francisco.  Anyway, I laughed so hard in the quiet of the store, certainly needing to take a picture. So this is what happened decades ago on my birthday… And, this is what’s happening today (June 26) on my birthday… And I laugh, either way. {click here to get there-cake blog}

What Would You Say To Your Younger Self If You Had The Chance

My birthday is fast approaching, and every year around this time, I panic, thinking I haven’t accomplished all the things in life I needed to just yet, and getting old is really not helping me get there. But I do wonder, if I could go back, knowing what I know now, what is the one thing I would tell myself to do? Don’t you ever wonder? I’d love to hear from you…drop me a line. Oh and in case you are wondering what I would say to my younger self: It would be to follow your dream no matter what…Because at the end of the day, it is what will make you the happiest. {photo source}
