Boutique Hotel Pick – Le Mas Des Poiriers – Avignon, France

Even at this point in life, I dream of fairy tales, not so much about a prince sweeping my off my feet and ending up living a life of a princess, but more like, a place an adult woman could escape to, and be pampered for a week or more, with pool side refills on the finest of champagne and naps  on a plush wicker chaise longue in the gardens – that to me is the ideal of a fairy tale – 🙂

Let’s Ease Into The Week, Shall We?

I have visions of just gliding into this week. Especially after the crazy hectic few weeks that seems to have become the norm in most everyone’s life. I am not saying that I have nothing to do, or that deadlines and such are not around the corner. I am just thinking a slower start is in order. I love June – its my month and no matter how the world and those around me try to get me down, I won’t have it this month. I am going to do my best to rise above all things and just be excited, and thankful, and happy and content for the next 30 days. So, here we go – these are some of the things that are inspiring me this morning. {featured image source}

Sunday Edition: Topics Of Interest From Around The World

I am finally seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, in terms of this bug/flu thing I managed to get caught up in this past week – the entire event being kicked off by a stiff neck,  followed by an achy body, fever, headache and a huge knot in my throat, or more like a piece of rock lodged in the worst possible way, causing all kinds of havoc on my body and soul. Since I am so aware of my health, I noticed this time around, I had the worst stomach pains also – which got me thinking perhaps this was a combo flu – or a virus that was thoughtful enough to attack all of my organs. Anyway, the way I know I am feeling better is that I wanted to actually get on my phone and dabble in paint-by-number app, and then one thing led to the next and here we are – with a list of interesting topics I want to share with all of you – cooped up …

Boutique Hotel Pick – L’Hotel Particulier – Arles, France

Mondays are a great day to start with daydreaming – about places you wish you could go or ones you hope someone would whisk you away to – for a bit of rest and relaxation, and romance – kind of like this place in Arles, France. Details are everything

Travel: The English Countryside Is Highly Recommended

Last year, I was fortunate enough to travel throughout the English countryside by car. Let me rephrase- I was lucky enough to have a family member live in England who was kind enough to take me around the island from east to west, and North to South. I still think about that trip, and I know that if I want to repeat the best two weeks of my life in terms of travel, I would need to learn to drive on the wrong (left) side of the road. Which scares the daylights out of me or find a private tour company willing to go off the beaten path to see some of the most beautiful picturesque towns and storybook homes: {source}

Lifestyle: Art Matters Doesn’t It

Several framing shops and art galleries are closing around the greater San Francisco bay area, and that idea makes me sad. Because I keep assuming the worst – that art is becoming a thing of the past. Or maybe folks are simply creating their own works of art, and ordering-on-demand from a number of online shops. Well, here’s hoping art stays around for a very long time and remains an appreciation for generations to come. {Source here, and here} Here’s my contribution to arts – check it out
