Fashion: Fall Wardrobe Planning Stages

After the renovation project of my space in San Francisco, I turned to my closet to get ready for the fall-winter season. Naturally I made several piles to donate, or toss what I no longer plan to wear. I do have a difficult time of letting of a few pieces as they tend to rotate back in style. But at this point in my life, I realize life is too short to hold on to every single thing, and that change is sometimes necessary to feel polished if you know what I mean.  So here we go for the San Francisco fall workwear I clicked and purchase from here:

Fashion: My Fashion Sense

Living in San Francisco and working for a techy company, you can pretty much go to work wearing jeans and a T-shirt everyday and no one cares. Which is a refreshing option from the suit and stocking days when I worked for a financial institution. I’ve been asked why I don’t model my fashion here on RawSilk&Saffron, and I have to say it’s mostly because I am completely camera-shy – so I figured I should show you what my fashion sense is in other ways: {photo source here and here}

Travel: Bypassing Paris and Going For The Small Towns In France

My last stop in Europe is always Paris. Where I spend a week simply taking it all in, pretending to be a local. What I discovered recently was the following small town destinations in France, I heard about but have never seen.  I added them to my list for a late Spring trip in 2017 with a good friend of mine:

Boutique Hotel Pick – Hotel Panache – Paris, France

There are those who understand Paris in the same way that I do.  I know you are out there. 🙂  But just in case… For years the hubs had trouble understanding my love for this wonderful city – not so much the romantic aspect of it. But because of the fact, Paris stands for everything  a creative mind needs to feel inspired, and from that infuse, be able to create the most magical of things, tapping into emotions within us that we often times have trouble seeing or not see… intentionally. And so I spend a lot of time in my day, researching for all things Paris that I find inspiring and this time around, I discovered Hotel Panache – the decor alone says it all…

Travel: A Collection of Hotels I am Taking Into Consideration

I have a handful of hotels throughout your Europe, I have built a friendship upon, with the staff. Meaning to say, I email them directly, get my rates and dates locked in and just show up, without having to worry much about if we’ll like the place, safety, and all other concerns while travelling: Except, this list came out and I am truly torn…about what I am familiar with, or these wonderful places I’d love to stay. Isn’t travelling supposed to be an adventure anyway?  Check out the one’s I am thinking for this year’s trip:

Sunday Cravings: A Week By The Poolside – Italy

We’ve made it through the first quarter of the year, although really I don’t know how we got here. Wait. I do know exactly how I got here. I was too busy helping with three moves in four months, a remodel, a book edit going on sale April 16, the ear to everyone’s problems, the one doing all the comforting, ego boosting, problem solving and care giving. I know exactly what filled my days. On Saturday, instead of staying home,  I got up early, showered, and actually got dressed up, even wore my make up and left the house. To have breakfast with a friend who called to say she was in town for a vet appointment.  Spending the entire morning with her, on Chestnut Street, having breakfast, chatting up a storm, then window-shopping, checking out the books on display at my favorite Books Inc. store, and even grabbing a freshly squeezed fruit juice in a bottle. It turned out to be a nice day. In our conversation, both of us longing for a week-long …
