We have some of the best restaurants in San Francisco, and Asian cuisine in the city is for sure the best I’ve had I think so far (in my travels) that is. Unless of course any of you have better suggestions. 🙂 I am always open to suggestions. Anyway, I crave and naturally eat Thai food or Chinese or Japanese or Korean (you get my point) at least once a week if not more and wish I could duplicate the dish and flavors at home just as well as the food in the restaurant. Here’s one of my favorites, and easy to make recipes I am sharing with all of you. Believe me it can’t get any easier and for sure one of the best tasting soups I’ve tried at home in a while. Follow the recipe here. {I take no credit for the photo, but if you are interested in finding out where I got it from, please click here}

We get our summer right about now – September to November so not wearing white after Labor Day really doesn’t apply to San Francisco gals. We wear what we wear according to the weather, or at least I do, and a few other women I see walking about town on a work day. Either way, I love this site, and pretty much find myself trending most of the style Ariel models on her blog, with the exception of the beautiful shoes, which I have no problem owning, just have trouble pulling it off in techy San Francisco.
So you’ve just bought your first home, or perhaps even an apartment you’ve rented in a trendy city like San Francisco (notice how I did that, or like me, is looking for an update of a current space. Where do you start? Here are some helpful sites offering up info on how to consider the right paint, best picture hanging strategies, and various other details potentially pretty overwhelming.
I was made to travel. I know this. But unfortunately haven’t taken the leap to becoming a travel writer just yet. But believe me it’s in the works. Until then, I will live vicariously through others: {photo source}
Can you see these wedding gowns turned to red carpet wear at this years award season. In different hues of course.
I think I took my annual trip to Europe too soon this year (in May), because I am having withdrawals right about now. Usually we go in October. Italy is always on the list. Tuscany a must. I pick a different place each year and we spend a few days taking it all in, and wishing we could simply buy a villa and remodel it “Under The Tuscan” style. The sad thing is I add to my misery by searching online for everything Tuscany, of course I’ve also subscribed to a few sites so you can imagine my inbox daily, reminding me that I am not there. So, Tuscan desserts will have to do from this site to get me by through the holidays, and into the next year, when I begin planning my annual trip – for sure October 2016. Until then I share with you these recipes:
I started blogging in 2006. At the time it was a trendy online place of my own where I could jot down everything that was going through my mind about life, family, work, society, religion, politics and even films. I realized after a handful of posts that talking about what was bothering me wasn’t how I wanted to spend my time writing. It was bringing me down, and even though there were many followers, at the end of the day I simply didn’t feel good. So I turned to happy topics, ones that make me feel amazing and positive even if there are days I just want to hide somewhere and cry my heart out. Call it the best therapy-blogging. What I did was shift my blog on Blogspot to films, and the ones on Wordpress, well, to Rawsilkandsaffron, and my author blog MLKilian. All of them fun topics. I still have the blog where I write down what ails me, but I keep that one private and limit those entries to only once in a blue …
