Are we ready for fancy sports bars? I gotta say, secretly that I am, to experience luxury while watching my favorite sports match up. How about you?

The Downton Abbey film was such a success that there is a sequel happening – and I might say I am more than pleased as the film whisks me away from a time and place I am so in need of escaping to these days – weird? Or do you feel the same?

What the French moms can teach us Americans or those around the world I suppose about parenting.

The French usually—in my generation, anyway—didn’t think it was a good idea to make your children the number one priority. That meant you have left behind your license as a wife, as a woman, as a professional and all this. It felt not fashionable. But now I think things have changed tremendously in France. In America I think there’s a lot of positive encouragement, even to the point of making the child believe that he’s a genius. (source)

As I redesign my studio apartment to fit an actual office space, as well as revamp the floor to ceiling built in bookshelf, I am finding myself searching for inspiration like this wonderful space

On another note, have you seen Kate and Leopold? I did when it first came out in 2001, and at the time, being so young, believed in fairy tales as if my life depended on it. Watching it years later, I think I have to say, oh my, how my thinking has changed…what’s your take on fairy tales? Or films which depict as such?
