Decor: What Is It About… |

My eyes are always roaming when I walked about anywhere, studying the likes of this and that and giving it my approval or not so much and bringing to the attention of whomever I am with about my observations – in terms of decor that is:

What is it about chandeliers that make me feel alive – the shimmering or the perfectly put together crystal and sometimes glass that when I walk into a room and look up to see one perfectly hung above, my eyes twinkle and my jaw drops at the wonder of it all

What is it about the perfect bedding on display in boutique stores and high end hotels? Is it the perfectly starched and ironed pillow cases, the ruffles, or the frame against which they are perched. I almost don’t want to disassemble such a set up….

What is it about checkered corridors or foyers? Is it the symmetry? The 3D effect that draw your eyes to the path ahead, or the fact it compliments most any decor surrounding the area?

What is it about pink and black and a touch of gold that – believe it or not – makes me feel all sorts of girly and elegant and a step closer to Audrey Hepburn. 🙂
