interior or exterior design: doors with a statement

There are many components to a home which, like fashion, either make or break (in this case), the flow. And although I appreciate interior decor as much as the next person, I also admire interior or (in this case) also exterior design: Doors. As a result of my passion, I have taken over a thousand photos of doors during my travels and here in San Francisco and when I come across one I admire in a magazine or the internet, I click and save it. :). Here are some of my favorite doors

escape from the fog – a summer in san francisco

Well officially, perhaps a day earlier than some calendars indicate, we have entered the Summer season. I know this because yesterday it was freezing, foggy and drizzly in the city and today it isn’t any better.  So while I bring out my sweaters, coat and umbrella to the front of my closet for use throughout this season, I cannot help but think of anywhere that I could lay on the beach and soak up the sun. {click on the photo to get travel information to any of the destinations below}

fashion sense: tory burch pairing

The first time I was drawn to Tory Burch was because of the logo. What can I say, it happens, I mean wasn’t that the case for the Apple?  But then over the years and mostly in Europe, I have fallen in love with her fashion sense and style. So, naturally I found a few dresses for the summer here and paired it up with dress up and dress down shoes option from here and here to express my own interpretation of versatility.

Firenze), I recommend Hotel Brunelleschi for your stay.

vacation a.k.a holiday travel wardrobe – part 1

We don’t mind it, in fact when we go down the list, at the end of it, we smile to one another because we know deep down Europe will always win. Anyway, I have actually become an expert traveller, in the sense that I know exactly  what I need to take and what should be left behind for a 2 week trip in most any predictable and unpredictable weather. For this year’s trip I have selected the following travel wardrobe from here and here: Colorful tops in different styles from here Jeans, Khakis and shorts and capri pants from here Comfortable dresses which do not take up too much space from here Sweaters for the evenings and chilly weather and 1 all-weather jacket just in case from here Comfortable all-day walking shoes and sandals and beach wear from here and here, since heels don’t work well on cobblestoned streets 🙂 Conservative yet sexy swim or in …

give me a moment to feel this way

I think I am at a point in my life where I don’t feel so bad because I have to go to work, nor do I look so forward to the weekend. I normally understand my place in  society and go about doing all the things I need to do and want to do. But there are times I do imagine the following: {Quote by Manya: Author of http://www.rawsilkandsaffron.wordpress.com}
