What Are You up To This Weekend?

Every Thursday I thumb through articles and event announcements for something to do over the weekend, and when nothing sparks an interest, I create my own fun. Meaning to say, I pray for good weather in the city and then go for long walks across town. Seven plus miles and then ride the Muni back to my neighborhood. After stopping somewhere downtown for lunch – of course. This weekend in and around the city we have some things going on which is cool to consider, especially those of you visiting from out of town: Livermore Wine Country Downtown Street Fest has wine and beer tasting, outdoor dining, arts & crafts vendors, live entertainment, and a family fun zone. Free.  May 6-7 Sustainable design festival – May 7, 2017: Shop for sustainably made apparel, accessories, home goods, and art at the Urban Air Market, with street food and local musicians on Patricia’s Green (at Octavia & Fell Streets). Repeats in Sept. Free. Wine tasting in Palo Alto – May 7, 2017: Taste 100 wines from 30 wineries …

if i wish hard enough

I’ve been told as a child if I wish hard enough, I will get to fulfill all my dreams. I didn’t believe it while growing up, but then in the last decade or so, I’ve wished very hard on a few things here and there, and to my surprise, they’ve all come true.  Silly?  Maybe. In light of this, I have to say, I’ve had my eye on a neighborhood in San Francisco, I wish to make my home very very soon.  Sea Cliff, is a neighborhood, I’ve walked through for decades, completely and utterly taken by the lush beauty of the neighborhood, nothing like the rest.  I will live here for sure and if I wish hard enough, I may just do so in this lifetime.
