Food: Valentine’s Breakfast Pancakes For Those Staying In

I saw this recipe a few weeks ago, and already knew the plans for Valentine’s Day or actually any other Sunday. I mean, this option is not only for those in love, but rather for anyone celebrating  – their independence, to a perfect friendship and even a newly purchased home. Double chocolate champagne pancakes is the way to go, I say: Ingredients: 1 cup AP flour 1¾ tsp baking powder 1/3 cup sugar 4 tsp cocoa powder, sifted 1 tsp salt 2 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips 1/4 cup milk 1 large egg 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp champagne. {more}   {recipe and photo credit} Oh and yes for the mimosa champagne in lieu of coffee or a cup of green tea – plus more pink drinks here

Boutique Hotel Pick – L’Hotel Marrakech – Morocco

I’ve been longing for an exotic destination lately. Kind of like in Indiana Jones, set in the 30’s. Whatever happened to those types of movies? Don’t you ever wonder. I do. So the other day while trying to figure out what to watch on television, set in that time period and the location of course somewhere exotic, this amazing hotel popped up – enticing me…or perhaps sparking an interest to write the next story around this highly romantic destination. See for yourself what I mean:

Food: A Treat for New Years Eve With A Side of Bubbly

Why is it I consider New Years Eve to be a sexy celebration. Perhaps all the glitter, sparkle and bubbly. 🙂 Or just the fact, it is a prelude to a new beginning.  Ponder, ponder. So while I prep the Hors d’oeuvre and pick out the best of champagnes, and the extras to bring in the new year at my home, I can’t help fall in-love with this recipe. Which by the way suits the theme I am going for this year, naturally….paired with champagne:

recipe: fried apples and toast

This is part of my romantic morning after breakfast series. I hardly order dessert in restaurants and seldom even make them at home. As you see desserts are my weakness. Don’t get me wrong, when I’m in Paris, I do indulge, mostly puff pasty desserts with apples, or chocolate. Minus of course a daily intake of crepe here and there. This recipe stood out for me, not so much because it is a dessert(although it can be used as such), but the fact, its made with apples, cinnamon, raisin and almonds some of my favorites. Anyway, blogger’s rule, I cannot post the entire recipe here so click here to get there:
