It’s sort of difficult to say really what cities architectures truly admire, or appreciate because, based on my travels, I consider every city or town I’ve been to most appreciated – in terms of architecture. But I get it, there is a certain standard or identity to styles which over the years have become most admired and made it to this list. Here are some of my favorites:

I love a new hotel, or the experience of it. My hubs and I got to experience such a wonder in Madrid Spain a few years back – staying in a beautiful hotel that had opened for one a week. The service was amazing, the amenities over the top, and even complimentary drinks were offered on their rooftop bar. We loved the experience, and most of all, loved the fact, we paid half the price since the property was so new. Best is an opinion, because some of the best of foods I’ve had in Paris are not even on these lists. But then again, you may disagree or agree. Absolute best burgers in Paris – although not sure why I’d aim to eat burgers in Paris – but you know, every single time I am there, I actually do eat a burger or two – counts for two meals in my opinion and helps me walk for miles and miles 🙂 3. I’ve been thinking about a weekend trip to my favorite place on earth – Disneyland – and just disappearing in fantasy-land (no punt intended). And while I was looking into a package, you know air/hotel/entrance tickets, I came across this interesting site which details ‘The Best Secret Menu Items at Disneyland“. As I’ve mentioned before I was a travel agent at one point in my life, and I have to say that was one of my favorite jobs – you know – making people feel good by traveling. Out company, although mostly for student travel, we also offered up adventure travel – past the typical tours, we specialized in booking folks on adventures of all types – and each time we sent someone off on one of those speciality adventures, they came back raving, and wanting to book more. In line with this topic, I have found a pretty good site for those interested in soft adventure, or one that is rigorous, for families or without, groups or thrill seekers. Check out what I mean:

The other day I had lunch at Yumma’s on Irving Street, and after ordering our falafel wraps, my friend suggested we sit outside in their patio – which I had no idea they had. (I hadn’t eaten there for years). But it got me thinking about all of the wonderful tourists heading to this fair city which I call home, and so I decided to add a list from here and there of some of the best patio seating in San Francisco: 4505 Burgers & BBQ (705 Divisadero St.) The patio at 4505 Burgers & BBQ may seem a little unconventional (it’s a converted parking lot), but that’s what gives it San Francisco charm. If the patio alone won’t get you there, then the mouthwatering burgers and ribs should. All Good Pizza (1605 Jerrod Ave) A pizza truck turned brick oven is doling out delicious pies in a parking lot in the Bayview that’s making people line up. Enjoy them at the covered picnic benches.
