This hotel I found, when I did my daily ritual of reading about my celebrity crush – Gerard Butler. Who is currently in Italy attending a festival of sorts and then some. I’ve been to Italy a million times, but have never ventured to Ischia. The most has been Capri. So, it’s wonderful to discover and based on all that I have read about this wonderful destination – I am definitely in!

Out company, although mostly for student travel, we also offered up adventure travel – past the typical tours, we specialized in booking folks on adventures of all types – and each time we sent someone off on one of those speciality adventures, they came back raving, and wanting to book more. I’ve been longing for an exotic destination lately. Kind of like in Indiana Jones, set in the 30’s. Whatever happened to those types of movies? Don’t you ever wonder. I do. So the other day while trying to figure out what to watch on television, set in that time period and the location of course somewhere exotic, this amazing hotel popped up – enticing me…or perhaps sparking an interest to write the next story around this highly romantic destination. I realized this past October while in Europe – that there is no off-season to travelling. People travel throughout the year – with their kids and without. Finally made it to the country for a few days, where I was shocked to see the moon, the first night. It’s funny how we take things for granted until it isn’t there anymore. In my case, due to the crazy heavy fog in San Francisco, I haven’t seen the moon since early May. So you can imagine my amazement when I lay in bed Wednesday night and saw the moon shining across my room. Besides that fact, during the very hot hours in the day in this neck of the woods where it’s not smart to be outdoors, I got online (of course) and found these interesting topics:

The five-star luxury hotel Villa Cora in Florence is a perfect boutique hotel I see as the setting for my next novel…or simply a place I can dream about a story. The perfect Byzantine-Florentine decor and setting in one of my most cherished ancient cities – Florence.
Since I live by the coast, on a hilltop high enough to get the best of views of the ocean, I can relate to this topic. More so, while I put my October vacation to Italy together. Here’s a few from the list of ten, I’ve added to my list for future trips:
