travel photography: oahu, hawaii

There isn’t too much to do, in my opinion on Oahu, outside of the tourist sites and shopping, so the only other hobby one can enjoy is definitely photography. The funny thing is, I walked in and out of a dozen wall art stores and wondered how the photographers painted photos with extreme colors. Meaning, I felt most of the photographs were color enhanced. Last night, while I walked back from the pre-wedding dinner get together, along the beach, back to my hotel, I actually were able to capture photographs, with seemingly enhanced colors. I didn’t touch up any of my photos, but was proud that I was able to capture, such colorful photography. {photos are the property of http://www.rawsilkandsaffron.wordpress.com please ask if you wish to borrow}

inspired by nostalgia

Photographs are probably the most inspirational medium known to mankind to and often times a great way to reflect, reminisce and remind. With that said, occasionally, I find photographs online, which touch me to a point; I have to share them with anyone who understands where I am coming from.    Pictures do tell a thousand words and here are mine.

nostalgic for picture perfect winter

Since I live in San Francisco  and seldom go up to Lake Tahoe, I have to say I am nostalgic for what I creatively refer to as picture perfect winter days. You know the kind that looks amazing in photos but not so amazing when you live through it.  That kind and just incase you don’t know what I am talking about, please see below 🙂

photography: night views of san francisco

I dont’ think I’ve voiced enough lately how much I love the city I live in. San Francisco is probably one of the most beautiful cities in the world, providing there is no fog of course. So, I was glad when I found these photos here and posted them on my blog for not only my viewing pleasure, but yours as well. Enjoy 🙂

in search of fall colors: a walk through napa

As I stated before I have fallen in love with Autumn and feel it is probably the most romantic time of the year and wish there were enough trees planted throughout the city of San Francisco to get a glimpse of the leaves changing color.   But since that’s not an option, I usually take a day trip to Napa in the Fall to get a glimpse of some of the most breath taking scenery.   {photo credits} http://fineartamerica.com/featured/napa-valley-fall-bill-gallagher.html   http://www.jharrisonphoto.com/Landscapes/Napa-Valley-Fall-Colors http://winecamp.squarespace.com/journal/2009/11/17/photo-camp-fall-colors-napa-november.html http://www.cbspittsburghtrip.com

photography: light effects in san francisco

The past three days, it was extremely hot in San Francisco and although it was a pleasant change from the cold and fog, it aggravated alot of locals.  Very strange bunch, we are, the city folk. I, on the other hand, did everything in my power to stay out as long as I could to enjoy the sun and the heat, so after work I walked over to Union Square and enjoyed a nice dinner outdoors atop Macy Department Store, over-looking the  square. When I finally made it back down to the street level, I couldn’t believe how amazingly hot it still was even at 8p.m. So, naturally I grabbed  my hubby’s cell  and snapped some photos of the light effects in San Francisco on a hot Indian Summer night. {Please don’t borrow the photographs without my permission :)}
