Travel: Adults Only Resort

In my mind, the definition of a resort stay, is something strictly for adults, and all-inclusive is where children are allowed. But I guess I was wrong, because this list points out the difference?  And in case you happen to be as baffled as I am because you’ve just learned something new, here’s a list of the ‘kid-friendly resorts‘ By the way, I have a bucket list of hotels I wish to experience, where I have added the ones pictured below. Travel: Winter Weekend-ish Getaway

In the states there are two long weekends during the winter months – one in January, and the other in February and if you plan it just right – the one in February can also be considered a romantic Valentine’s getaway to one of these destinations:   For chalet rentals and ski accommodations, go here, here, here , and here {featured image photo source}

Boutique Hotel Pick – Belmond La Residencia – Mallorca, Spain

I can’t say it enough – October is a wonderful time to travel and with the need of taking a week or so to simply unplug, you may want to consider Mallorca, Spain and this spectacular boutique hotel, which is  wonderful anniversary present, or a honeymoon destination or just because. I mean really, what more do I need to say?

Boutique Hotel Pick – Villa Tortuga – Mustique Island

The very private Mustique Island, streamed across my screen the other day, while searching for a secluded island getaway I’ve been considering for a week long hideaway early summer in 2019. Just a hundred miles west of Barbados, just in case you are wondering, this island provides with me just the right amount of privacy, and the simplest pleasures to help you disconnect from the brutal realities of every day life. With a dozen or so villas to choose from to rent, and invite a close nit of family or friends to share in the experience. Although it was difficult to choose my favorite property, I have to say Villa Tortuga stuck with me and so the planning begins now with an email-invite to a handful of family members proposing for a trip in June 2019. Here’s to crossing my fingers we can make it happen. {featured image source}

Decor: Under The Tuscan Sun Villa is For Rent

I don’t know of any woman who was not taken away by the film Under the Tuscan Sun – when it first came out in 2003. Imaging a life as colorful as Frances Mayes’ in the film.  It’s funny, I still watch the movie now and again, feeling warm and fuzzy about the story as it unfolds onscreen. So – guess what made it to the top of my travel bucket list?

Travel: August 2018 Travel Destinations

I can wean myself off of anything, except Travel. And although I just got back from two weeks exploring different parts of England, I am ready to plan another getaway in a few months and this list has me thinking about the destination. The funny thing is, while I was at a happy hour get-together in the city at the beginning of the year, I announced to the group that at some point, I wanted to take a road trip down the U.S. East Coast – Charleston, South Carolina included of course. So maybe it will be the case this year. {go here for the rest of the list}
