shoes: sale at nordstrom my picks

Working in the city, we are no longer required to dress up. Let me rephrase, maybe dress up  just in retail and some banks. I laugh. Only because a decade ago everyone was required to look corporate. Lots has changed, and I am okay with it. Love coming to work dressed in jeans if I want to or dress up if I choose to.  So, shoes play a part in the look, as we know it, and most of the time I prefer to be comfortable  to walk everywhere for lunch, to climb hills, and hop on and off busses and trains, running to them on occasion. Anyway, long story short, I walked into Nordstrom to simply order my favorite pomegranate ice tea, and ended up walking out with a few pairs of shoes. Ehmm. Oh well. fashion: new arrivals at bloomingdale’s – my pick

Fashion is a wonderful thing, keeping us inspired and motivated to look our best. I can’t see my life without fashion, and hopefully very soon will be launching my own line of wear. Until then, here are some of my favorite everyday wear  new arrivals at Bloomingdale’s .

paris fashion week 2015 – street style

Street style is just as important to Paris fashion week as the actual runway fashion introduced to those of us waiting anxiously to see what would be unveiled for this or that season. If you are as curious as I am about street style, then please click here to get inspired-street style. {source}

St. John pre-fall collection 2015

I challenge myself every year to create my style from the collections released by designers.  I don’t normally follow trend, I simply create my own.  So, here are some of my favorite wears  from St. John, which I will add to other designer pieces and create my own style – which by the way I will be launching on this blog soon.

fashion: I have to admit i kind of love this

I haven’t been able to shake off the French Riviera, mostly the fashion statement each and every woman makes there. More particularly in Cannes, Monaco and St. Tropez. The sad thing is, we cannot duplicate such fashion here in San Francisco.  The interesting pieces are more welcomed in  Los Angeles, Florida, and possibly New York. But not here. Although I do wonder how it would be if one SUNNY day I venture out into the street wearing one of Moschino’s latest collection,  or maybe I simply have to move to the French Riviera.

fashion: looking younger, feeling classy

I watch the show Younger on television, the show naturally targeted to the 40 something’s. Each episode is better than the next, funny, very relatable and downright on point about a 40 something trying to fit in after her husband (surprise) leaves her. She transitions into a 20 something year old to be able to get a job, and be accepted in general. Lucky for her, her only daughter is away in College or traveling through Asia, and isn’t around to judge. 😉 The fashion is mostly what caught my attention with the creators of the show dressing the main character Eliza tastefully to communicate perfect her youthfulness, without compromising elegance or class, something most women over 40 needs to consider.  With that said, I have to share with you what I consider fashion to looking younger, yet feeling classy:

paris fashion week: balenciaga 2015-16

Ah the love of fashion, the creative aspect of it, the vision, the wonderful exciting suggestions from every designer, always taking a risk, and raising the bar. I love all of it. I live for fashion, and wish I could partake in attending all fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, New York. You get the point. Here are some of my favorites from Balenciaga and of course you are welcome to click here to see the rest:
