While in Europe this past October, I couldn’t help but observe the shoes trend or choice of shoes women and men wear throughout. Since it was Fall, with tendencies of summer and a glimpse of winter, the array of shoes was most interesting. Long story short, here’s what I gathered: {here’s where you can shop for the shoes}
Although the weather is most unpredictable – one day warm, the next rainy all in between a heatwave here and there. I have made my list of shopping to do this weekend and Madewell is on top of my list – in person in an actual store I cannot wait to:
I do love fashion week, most everywhere, and the street fashion snaps posted online from some of the best designers in the world. Here’s some of my picks from the Paris Fashion Week:
Love the color rose or a variation of dusty pink. In fact, so much I declared 2016 to be the pink year in color. At least for me. And now, three months left to the year, October being breast cancer awareness month, I have to say I have gone mostly pink by adding these to my pink collection:
Yes we are officially in fall – at least based on the calendar here in San Francisco, where we are FINALLY experiencing some HOT weather – our Indian Summer has arrived FINALLY. Sorry if the caps are irritating, but I am excited to be wearing summer clothes in the fall, like we usually do here. But, over the weekend, I walked through an outdoor mall, and although it was too hot to try on anything warm and fuzzy, I fell for: This sweater in the three colors from Madewell This dress from Anthropologie Plaid Jacquard dress from my favorite Kate Spade Shoes in abundance from Nordstrom – and I mean that – I can buy a pair of everything in sight if I had the wallet of the Kardashians. In the meantime here’s my favorite Happy Monday!!! And if you happen to be in San Francisco – please drink lots of water – 🙂
Since I am too shy to be photographed, I have yet again decided to share with you my preferred choice of fun-wear with these amazing and cool ensembles that you would find in my closet.
After the renovation project of my space in San Francisco, I turned to my closet to get ready for the fall-winter season. Naturally I made several piles to donate, or toss what I no longer plan to wear. I do have a difficult time of letting of a few pieces as they tend to rotate back in style. But at this point in my life, I realize life is too short to hold on to every single thing, and that change is sometimes necessary to feel polished if you know what I mean. So here we go for the San Francisco fall workwear I clicked and purchase from here:
I took this photo from my bedroom window last night. It’s nothing fancy, just capturing the simple signs of Fall just around the corner. Although in San Francisco, this is a reminder that we are heading into our Indian Summer, with crispy mornings, and hot days and even nights for the next few weeks or months depending on what mother nature has in store for us this year. I love this time of the year for so many reasons. From the kids slowly returning to school, to the abundance of clearance sales in most any store of all things summer, to the start of the holiday season decor slowly popping up here and there. Not to forget mentioning, talks about the holidays among family members and friends, and restaurants changing up their menus to include an array of hearty meals and fall-winter desserts and baked goods – oh how I love the smell of pumpkin-spiced anything. This is the time of year, I settle into a writing-routine, cozied up at home with my dog by …
Living in San Francisco and working for a techy company, you can pretty much go to work wearing jeans and a T-shirt everyday and no one cares. Which is a refreshing option from the suit and stocking days when I worked for a financial institution. I’ve been asked why I don’t model my fashion here on RawSilk&Saffron, and I have to say it’s mostly because I am completely camera-shy – so I figured I should show you what my fashion sense is in other ways: {photo source here and here}
