my style sense defined through other bloggers

As many of you may or may not know, bloggers have their personal list of bloggers whom they follow, and occasionally refer to them in their own blogs, admiring and appreciating common interests, sense of style, decor, recipes and more. So with that said, I will share with you two of my favorite bloggers who I appreciate for their fashion sense, very similar to mine.  Somethingblue  from New York, and 9to5chic from San Francisco.

fashion: my style sweaters fall-winter 2014

I adore sweaters and sometimes that’s all you need to spruce up an outfit. In fact, most of the time that’s ALL I need. I’m, how shall I put it, fashionably simple, considering jeans as dress up for most anything. The good thing is, working in the techy world in San Francisco, jeans are welcomed, and being overdressed is not at all necessary. So, jeans always, a T-shirt or a blouse a must, and a sweater is all I need pretty much 7 days a week. Here are my favorites for now – notice the color trend 🙂 {Source}

fashion: my style autumn to winter

Our autumns are not your typical. We don’t necessarily dive into cooler temperatures during the three months here in San Francisco like some places. We actually experience Indian Summer, in my dictionary defined as the best travel season for this amazing city. With that said, it is very difficult to plan for Fall weather outfits. So we dream. well mostly me, and maybe a dozen other locals of Fall outfits. Here are a few of mine. Which technically I can wear during “our” Fall-like winters. 🙂 For source, click here for my Pinterest board

fashion: haute couture – giambattista valli

I do love old-fashioned and efforts to remind us of them in recent years in fashion, decor, art and photography is most appreciated – at least for me anyway. So for the love of old-fashioned here are some of my favorites from Giambattista Valli – Fall-Winter 2014-15 collection:

fashion: mid-summer shopping

I don’t usually go shopping in the summer months, but the way the weather has been in the city, of course I’m drawn indoors, unwillingly walking through the mall just to be out. Of course, Nordstrom is having their half-yearly sale I discovered, making my roaming the malls very pleasant. Here’s my latest finds: From top left to bottom right: Kate Spade dress USD595, Maggie London Jersey dress USD98, Deborah Lippman nail color USD18, Print midi-shirt in mint USD36, Roalnd ankle bottie USD187, Xenia pointy-toe pump USD79. Burberry quilted jacket USD595

getting ready for a trip and what to wear

Normally I travel in the warmer months, sort of intentionally so I don’t have to pack sweaters, boots and coats in my carry on. But, this year, even my trips abroad is  turned around and I’m leaving much sooner than I planned, clocking my arrival across the pond, in the winter/not really spring season. So, packing is a challenge of course since I need to figure out how to dress warm and comfy, without hauling too much.  Of course, these outfits are a must: {photos and credit, click here}
